Another murderer off our streets 👍Great job JSO and our community partners working together👍👍👍👍

Detectives arrested 30-year-old Shawn Walker yesterday after he shot and killed a man in November of last year.

On November 1, 2025, District 1 Patrol officers responded to a business on Brentwood Avenue near Golfair Boulevard after we received a report there had been a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Kenance Bronson II with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital, but sadly he passed away. He had just turned 38 years old four days prior.

Our Homicide Unit began an investigation. Through our investigative efforts, our detectives identified Walker as a person of interest. Ater reviewing footage and interviewing witnesses, detectives named Walker as the suspect in Bronson’s murder.

Our detectives arrested Walker on Tuesday, June 16. He is now behind bars in the Duval County jail.

We’ll continue to work to bring justice to Bronson’s loved ones.

Sometime between 12:00 p.m. and 2:20 p.m. on Friday, June 12th, Raegan left her home in the area of Iron Creek Road near Armsdale Road. Due to the circumstances involved, we are asking for the public’s help. We’re working hard to return her home safely.

Raegan is 5’2” and 100 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair. It is unknown what type of clothing she was last wearing. If you see Raegan or know where she is, call us at 904.630.0500. Please share this post so we can spread the word faster!

8:10 a.m. Update: Good news! Savion has been located and is safe. Thank you to everyone who assisted in this search.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for 11-year-old Savion Simpson.

Savion was last seen leaving his home on Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. on West 45th Street near Moncrief Road. Due to his age, we are concerned about his safety.

Savion is 5’1” and 100 pounds. He has brown eyes and long black dreds. He was last seen wearing a navy blue shirt, tan pants, and light green and beige Jordan shoes.

Break The Code of Silence!!!!

One man is behind bars, and detectives continue to search for a second suspect after they killed a man in a motel room last week.

On Friday, May 29, District 6 Patrol officers responded to a motel room on Golfair Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found 40-year-old Giavonathan Butler with a gunshot wound. He passed away at the scene.

Our Homicide Unit detectives immediately began working to determine who fired the gun. After reviewing surveillance footage, witness interviews, and physical evidence in the motel room, our detectives identified 25-year-old Alfred Jones III as one of the gunmen in this case.

We received an arrest warrant for Jones on Sunday, May 31. On that same day, our SWAT Team took him into custody, arresting him for Butler’s murder.

We know Jones did not work alone, and we continue to search for the second gunman. If you have details in this case that could lead to an arrest, please call First Coast Crime Stoppers (1.866.845.TIPS). Your information is kept confidential, and you will be eligible for a $5,000 cash reward.

******Tow truck driver Murdered while repossessing vehicle******

Tow truck driver fatally shot late Tuesday night while attempting to repossess a vehicle at an apartment complex has been identified by family members as Oliver Lopez.
Lopez, who owned Oliver Towing for over two years, was at the Sanctuary Walk apartment complex on East 21st Street, a few blocks east of Phoenix Avenue, around 10 p.m. Tuesday when he was shot. Lopez was at the apartment complex to repossess a vehicle, and police said an argument started with the vehicle’s owner. JSO said a man then came outside and fired multiple shots, hitting Lopez.

He died at the hospital. The shooter is still on the run, police said.
