Your St Johns District hosted 600 Cub Scouts family members at Camp Shands for weekend of spooky fun and games. They were able to explore their creative side and design masks or build Lego creations. The pushed the sky on the Extreme Course and challenged each other in a cascade of Scout games. The nature of the camp was not left out as it too was toured with an adventure hike that featured the plants and animals that our camp has to offer (some of you may have found my pet...wink). For the first time there was a dedicated Webelos/AOL program that featured fire building, cooking, climbing, archery & air r***e! If that was not enough every scout enjoyed an amazing campfire show presented by our own packs and then they slipped back to their sites for the night by way of the spook trail hosted by the Tunkashila Chapter of the OA.

I want to want to thank the families that attended the event and hope that they all had fun, but I also want to thank the almost 200 volunteers that gave their weekend to make the magic happen for our Cub Scouts......Scouting is about passing it on to the next generation.......thank you!

Scoutbook Plus Has New Merit Badge Counselor (MBC) Features
Merit Badge Classes - MBCs can now group the youth they counsel into "classes," which work much like patrols. Using Bulk Actions, they can quickly mark requirements complete and approved for the whole class at once.
Merit Badge Counselor Cleanup - Counselors still connected to a Scout will now be removed automatically one year after the merit badge is completed and approved. Any counselors who were still connected more than a year after completion have already been disconnected.
