The Choice: A Mental Health Initiative

The Choice: A Mental Health Initiative Mental health advocacy and awareness since 2015.

The Choice is a state-recognized, mental health non-profit organization located in Jacksonville, AL that focuses on the promotion of the benefits of positive psychology. We also provide information on the different avenues one can use to seek professional help for psychological distress or disorder. The Choice also has a student organization beginning fall 2017 at Jacksonville State University.

At HOUSE, we don’t aim to please, we aim to transform.

The truth is:
Some people will feel inspired by you.
Others might feel uncomfortable.
Both reactions are part of the work.

When you grow, speak honestly, or hold boundaries, it can lift people, or confront them.
That’s not something to avoid. That’s something to respect.

Real healing isn’t always soft. Sometimes it’s a mirror.
Sometimes it’s uncomfortable before it’s freeing.
And we’re here for all of it.

This space isn’t about fixing people.
It’s about creating room for people to meet themselves, fully.
That’s the kind of medicine that actually lasts.
