"Gail Karson, Kate Muniz, and Beth Casey Hagood participated in the Art Guild of Orange Park’s Art Festival, held at The Grove at Orange Park Country Club, demonstrating spinning and weaving with a generous display of Jacksonville Weavers’ Guild’s 50th Anniversary tea towels, as well as woven and spinning goods for sale. Young and old alike visited, asking interested questions and sharing their stories and memories about weavers and spinners they know."

Having the opportunity to share Weaving and Spinning with our community is such a pleasure. Visitors often have memories and stories to share, as they recall family and friends who owned looms and wheels.

May begins our annual Guild Membership year. Annual dues are $25/year, with discounted rates for students, household (2 adults), and associate (out of area). Our informal monthly summer sessions held the 2nd Saturday of the month are a great way for those new to fiber arts to receive mentoring for projects from our more experienced members!

The Arc Jacksonville Village weavers displayed their amazing T-shirt cloth at the recent 10th Anniversary banquet. Measuring over 10 feet (!), what a remarkable achievement for these new weavers, who had never used a loom before. Our JWG members were proud to assist with this project :)
