I am seeking help for my cousin, who is grappling with a housing emergency due to an unaffordable rent increase to $1600 per month, compounded by reduced hours at work. He is temporarily residing with an acquaintance, who frequently highlights his reliance on her support. Our community is well aware of the dire housing situation and the absence of emergency housing options. My cousin, a 64-year-old man with a spotless record, is unfortunately among those falling through the cracks.
