Wohoooo!!!! Another $50.00 was donated to the hurricane relief effort. Our total is now up to $310.00 and up to 31.0 miles needing to be ran. Thank you for everyone who has donated so far. And for those who are still wishing to donate here is the link to do so.

Over the past three weeks, all of us have worked to recover from the effects of Hurricane Florence. Most of Jacksonville/Onslow County were affected by the storm in some way, but some of our fellow employees have suffered devastating losses. Forty six members of the City of Jacksonville family suffered significant losses, many of those to the extent that they can no longer live in their homes. Some of these employees were on duty throughout the storm assisting citizens, only to return home and find it destroyed.

My goal is to raise $2,000 to help my fellow employees recover during this rebuild process. For every $10 donated I plan to run/walk/bike 1 mile to help bring awareness to this good cause.Our recreation family had multiple employees suffer devastating impact to their homes, and have had to seek a temporary home to get back to normalcy. This recovery process isn't quick and expenses add up as they more forward. Any amount will be appreciated by those who have lost so much and continue to serve our citizens following this disaster.
