Big news for the Emerald Trail. 🌿

We're thrilled to welcome Nancy Debs, P.E., PMP as our new Emerald Trail Project Manager! With more than 40 years of transportation and public infrastructure experience, Nancy brings the expertise and vision this project deserves.

She'll be overseeing design and construction quality standards as we continue building Jacksonville's 30-mile trail and linear park system, with 4.6 miles complete, 2.6 miles under construction, and more on the way.

The LaVilla: Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing Heritage Trail officially opened last week. It's a 1.76-mile walking loop featuring 22 historic markers organized around the lyrics of the Black National Anthem, born right here in Jacksonville.

Three of those markers are located along the Emerald Trail, weaving this celebration of neighborhood heritage directly into the trail we're building together.

It's alsmost that time of year again! The 7th Annual VyStar Emerald Trail 5K, 10K, and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is back, and every step you take helps build the trail that's transforming our city.

Whether you're crossing the finish line for the first time or making it a yearly tradition, you're helping connect 14 neighborhoods to parks, schools, hospitals, and the St. Johns River, while restoring McCoys and Hogans Creeks along the way. Proceeds support Groundwork Jacksonville and the continued growth of the Emerald Trail.
