Happy Heavenly Birthday, my dear brother, Brian Scott Workman.
Today, my heart aches in ways words can barely express. I tossed and turned all night, unable to quiet the pain, replaying memories of you and the deep unfairness of losing you far too soon. One single choice stole you from us and from a world that needed your light.
I can’t help but feel anger knowing the drug dealers who feed this epidemic still walk our streets freely. But that anger has also fueled my purpose. I’ve made it my mission to fight back—to educate, to advocate, and to help protect the next generation from the evil grip of fentanyl. It’s heartbreaking to know that something so deadly is always within arm’s reach, waiting to prey on the innocent.
The man responsible for taking you away was supposed to be locked away for life. Instead, he only received ten years after his life sentences for fentanyl trafficking were dropped. But I’m reminded that, in the end, it’s not the earthly judges who have the final say—our Heavenly Father does. I choose to forgive him and pray that he finds Jesus behind those prison walls.
My heart is especially heavy today, but I know God is still writing this story. I will keep honoring your name and your life through Brian’s Journey Inc., continuing to provide education, resources, and free naloxone to those who need it most. Because every person deserves the chance to live. Every person deserves hope.
Your name and your story will live on, Brian.
I love you forever, and I’ll keep fighting in your honor. 🤍
