The skills we curate at our club meetings are just valuable in that room. These skills improve our communication in every way. In 1-on-1 conversations, large group settings, or causal meetups with friends.

How you do use your Toastmasters skills outside of club meetings?? Let us know in the comments!

Matt West, dedicated member of our club & our current club treasurer, gave a spectacular speech at our recent club meeting. Matt reminded us that communication doesn’t look one singular way and understanding the communication style of those around us is just as important as understanding our own communication style.

Matt weaved personal stories with real world education, giving us a fabulous example of a well rounded speech!

“Don’t become so obsessed with the next chapter that you forget to read the chapter you’re in.”

WISE words from Rasta White at our meeting this week. He spoke about the importance of living in the moment and helped us all remember that we are living in the good ole’ days right now.

Incredible speech, Rasta!

Been thinking about trying out Toastmasters only to always find a reason not to attend that first meeting? Keith, member of Top O’ The Rock, put it off for a while until coming, loving it, joining, and becoming a standout member!

You can come check out our club on Wednesdays at noon at Aspire Church in San Marco. We would be so excited to have you!!

When there are 3 speakers, each has their own evaluator. These 3 evaluators, Jacquie, David and Adamou provided constructive, actionable feedback to help the speakers advance their speaking skills. We learn so much from our evaluators! 🤩🤩🤩

We are all “striving for excellence”! Marianne, our Table Topics Master, asked some thoughtful questions and Jake, Darren, Myron and Prashanth gave some terrific responses. In Table Topics, participants reply to a question in one to two minutes - impromptu speaking is a skill that is important in your personal life and your professional life.
