Many of our Hawks will one day walk the halls of Bartram Trail High, and tomorrow we get to support their theater program. Whataburger on County Rd 210 W is donating 20% of sales to the BTHS Theater Boosters on Wednesday, September 23, from 5 to 8 PM. Dine in, curbside, and drive thru orders all count.

Grab dinner, support the stage our kids may be standing on someday, and say hi if you spot a few Hawks in line.

Firework baby, born on the 4th of July, and a true St. Johns County local from kindergarten all the way through senior year. That's Ms. Richardson, our 1st Grade Teacher here at Hickory Creek!

Nailed the guess? High five yourself. Next Hawk coming soon!

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, Ms. Lee's 4th grade class took time to honor the heroes of September 11th.

Students watched a video about the events of that day, focusing on the helpers who risked everything to save others. Ms. Lee shared photos from her own visit to the 9/11 Memorial when she was about their age.

From there, the class turned reflection into action. Each Hawk was paired with a local firefighter and wrote them a personal thank you letter, complete with questions about the job and a hand colored illustration to make it their own.

Students also learned how to properly address an envelope, including why a return address matters. Once sealed, the letters were delivered to two local fire stations, reaching 19 firefighters and emergency responders who protect our community every day.

We are so proud of how thoughtfully these students honored such an important day. Thank you to Ms. Lee for leading such a meaningful lesson.

Today's the day. Candy donations officially open, so send in those bags with your student and let the monster start his rounds. Every bit helps your class chase that dance party, and keeps Trunk or Treat stocked for October 16. He'll be hitting classrooms every Friday through October 15, so get ready.

He roamed our halls once, hungry for candy. Now he's back for round two. Feed him every Friday through October 15, and help your class earn a dance party while you're at it. Trunk or Treat is October 16, so let's stock him up. #
