🎄❤️ IT’S OFFICIALLY CHRISTMAS TOYLAND SEASON AT JCOC! ❤️🎄

We know…it’s only October! 😂 But if you’ve ever been part of Christmas Toyland, you know it takes weeks of planning, collecting, sorting, shopping, organizing—and a whole lot of helping hands before those doors ever open.

So here we go…Christmas Toyland 2026 has officially begun! 🎁

Toyland will be December 15–17, and we’re starting our collection with a few things we already know we’ll need:

📚 New books for all ages
🧣 Warm blankets for kids & teens
🎄 Christmas-themed clothing
🎁 Age-appropriate toys for boys & girls of all ages
🚲 Bicycle helmets in all sizes

And this is just the beginning!

Over the next several weeks, we’ll be sharing more needs, gift ideas for different ages, ways to volunteer, and some behind-the-scenes looks at everything that goes into making Toyland happen.

Not a shopper? We can do the shopping for you! Monetary donations are always welcome and give us the flexibility to purchase exactly what we need as Toyland gets closer.

❤️ Please earmark monetary donations CHRISTMAS TOYLAND.

And remember—you don’t have to fill a shopping cart to make a difference.

One book. One toy. One blanket. One helmet. One donation. One shared post.

It all adds up. ❤️

Christmas Toyland happens because churches, businesses, organizations, volunteers, donors and neighbors come together to make it happen.

Here we go, Toyland 2026! 🎄🎁❤️

What does “Best By” really mean? 🥫

A date on a package doesn’t always mean the food is expired or unsafe to eat. In fact, many dates such as “Best By,” “Best If Used By,” and “Sell By” are related to food quality—not necessarily food safety.

Because JCOC receives food through grocery stores, food banks, and food-recovery partners, we want the families we serve to understand what these dates mean and why some items may be distributed after the date printed on the package.

We’ve created this simple guide to help explain the difference. ❤️

At JCOC, we follow USDA food-safety guidelines, State of Alabama requirements, and Community Foodbank of Central Alabama standards. Food is carefully inspected, stored, and handled before it is distributed to our families.

Spirit on Mtn St always is a blast. We love seeing the community come out to see what’s new and what their favorite restaurant has to sample. Wether it’s your first time in Jacksonville or you’ve been here since the beginning, Spirit has become a tradition. We are very thankful to Aligned Insurance Agency for all they put into this event and their unending support to JCOC.

We will see you next year!

Make sure to bring the kiddos!!

If your kids have been to Spirit before, they already know exactly where they’re headed first. 😂 THE KID ZONE!!

The Kid Zone will be packed with inflatables for the kids to make a beeline for as soon as they get there . All thanks to Taylor Real Estate Solutions, Series LLC - Property Management for making the inflatables happen year after year! ❤️

👑 Calling all Disney Princess lovers! We are SO excited to welcome a NEW vendor to Spirit this year — Sparkle Palace Parties. They’ll be joining us in the Kid Zone, and if you have an Elsa or Belle fan in your crew, you’ll definitely want to make sure you stop by and visit these sweet ladies! ✨

Bring the kiddos and let them have some fun! We can’t wait to see those little faces light up Thursday night! ❤️

And parents… don’t wander too far. We’ve got something BRAND NEW right beside the Kid Zone this year that you might want to try for yourself. 👀⛳️ Stay tuned!
