"I have been taking the weekly AOA chair fitness class at the YMCA for about 3 months now. I was very much a beginner and was really doing no exercise routine on my own at home. I have thoroughly enjoyed this class and would highly recommend it to others. I feel it is helping me stay more flexible and has encouraged me to add some at home exercises a couple more times a week."

🚧👷‍♂️ Big changes are happening right outside our preschool camp and our campers have thoughts.

When asked what’s being built, we got:
💦 “A water park!”
🌕 “FOUR water parks!”
🚀 “The MOON!” (It was space week, after all)
🏡 “A house!”

But eventually, someone cracked the code and shouted what we’ve all been waiting for:

🎉 “NOOOO! THAT’S THE BIGGER NEW Y!!!”

We couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come and neither could our campers. Future splash days, sports, and community fun? We're building that one silly guess and big dream at a time. 🏗️

Calling all volleyball lovers—it's time to bump, set, and spike your way into Wednesday night fun at the YMCA! Whether you're a seasoned player or just want to hit the court with friends, we've got a spot for you.

📅 **Wednesday Evenings**
🕠 **5:30–7 PM** – High School & Up
🕖 **7–8:30 PM** – Middle School Age

💵 **$5 Drop-In Fee** (Cash or Card Accepted)
📝 **Waiver & Participant Agreement** must be signed upon arrival

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents of players under 14 must stay in the building—cheer squad duties encouraged! 🎉

Bring your game face, good vibes, and let's make Wednesday nights the highlight of your week. See you on the court! 🙌

📣 Important Update – No Food Drive Today

We’ve received a few questions this afternoon, and we want to clear up the confusion. There is no food drive happening at the YMCA today. The distribution took place yesterday, and we apologize for any miscommunication caused by incorrect information shared elsewhere.

A huge shoutout to Safe Kids Onslow County for helping us keep our riders safe!

The New River YMCA has received so many generous donations of bikes and scooters (thank you, community!!), but helmets are often missing. That’s where Safe Kids stepped in, because safety always comes first!

Thanks to their support, more of our kiddos are scooting and pedaling with proper gear and big smiles. 😎

Here’s to safe riding, strong partnerships, and happy kiddos! 🚴‍♀️🛴💛

The New River YMCA has been graciously receiving donations of bikes and scooters from members of the community; however, helmets are oftentimes forgotten.
We’re so glad they understand the importance of safety—and even happier that we were able to support them!

🚀🌌 It’s technically Space Week, but this crew clearly had other plans.

Instead of launching into orbit, they launched into the bushes.
Instead of exploring galaxies, they explored the landscaping.
NASA who? We’re out here on a full-blown jungle expedition. 🐾🌿

We might’ve missed our rocket launch, but we’re absolutely crushing Jungle Camp.
10/10 would recommend this crew for any tropical survival team. 🌴🦁💪

We’re opening up our pantry for a special food distribution from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM — all are welcome!
