Attention all West Central Pro-Lifers!

As of July 1st, 2014, after more than 12 years as President of Morgan County Right to Life, our President - Kathy Westbrook is retiring. She has begun a new full time job and states that she feels it is time to turn the group over to a new generation. However, no one has stepped forward yet to fill her position so WE NEED YOUR HELP! With much prayer in your hearts, please spread the following invitation around to EVERYONE that you feel might be able to help:

With the retirement of Morgan County Right to Life's President - Kathy Westbrook, effective July 1st, 2014; a unique opportunity has opened up for you! We are a well-established group with many friends and many resources available to a new President, but we need YOU to help us stay focused; stay active; to stay strong! We need YOU to say "Yes" to God's request that you use your talents and gifts in a way that will continue to lead our group. January - No Regular Meeting. Instead, a dinner and special speaker is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 9 (SEE EVENT LISTING for more details.)

February - NO MEETING

March - Regular Meeting, Thursday, March 13th 7-8:30 pm at Passavant Hospital in Meeting Rm #4. Topic will be "The R**e & In**st Caveat" used by the pro-abortion lobby.

April - Regular Meeting, Thurday, April 10th 7-8:30 pm at Passavant Hospital in Meeting Rm #4. Get updates from our Life Dynamics series, and help finalize plans for our "new and updated" flower sale and summer activities.

The Recommitment to Human Life Rally THIS Sunday, January 20th, 2013 location has been changed to: Calvary Temple Christian Center on Jefferson Ave. in Springfield starting at 2pm.

Morgan County Right to Life will be running a carpool/caravan there at 1pm, returning at approximately 4-5pm. However, we need a headcount, so if you're interested in going or want more information please call Kathy Westbrook at 217-243-3741 BEFORE Sunday, so we can figure out how many cars we need!

PROLIFE YOUTH ESSAY CONTEST!

Please spread the word to every 7th-12th grader (age 11-18) you know! We are inviting them to write a 300-500 word essay on "Why You are Pro-life" and submit it NO LATER than Jan. 18, 2012...for TWO separate chances to win up to $275! (National Right to Life is offering a $200 first prize, and the Morgan County Right to Life has a $75 first prize.) INSPIRE OTHERS TO SAVE THE UNBORN!

Our next scheduled trip to the ill-named "HOPE" Clinic (one of the Midwest's largest late-term abortion providers) in Granite City is scheduled for Tuesday, March 13th. We will meet at the Jacksonville Aldi's parking lot at 10:30am, carpool to Granite City, and be back in Jacksonville at around 6:30pm. [NOTE: We could use one or more drivers!]

Please prayerfully consider taking part that day as sidewalk counselors and/or prayer warriors, helping be a voice for LIFE and following the mandate of Proverbs 24:11, to: "Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter."
