Big Orange Chorus Jacksonville’s premier barbershop chorus! The Big Orange Chorus is a fun and friendly group of guys who enjoy singing barbershop and other styles of music.
(2)

As a chapter of the international Barbershop Harmony Society, we perform frequently in the Jacksonville community. Membership in our chorus is open to men of all ages who like to sing. Our goal is to produce quality singing in a fun and entertaining way. We offer an opportunity for men to learn and improve their vocal abilities while performing in the local community under the auspices of an international organization. We are growing and are presently looking for male singers in all voice parts. Chorus rehearsals are held at San Jose Church of Christ, on San Jose Boulevard in Jacksonville. Most rehearsals are held on Thursday nights at 7:00pm; however certain special events and special performances require that we occasionally hold rehearsals on Monday nights. Guests should always call us at (904) 355-SING or check the Chorus Calendar on www.bigorangechorus.com for specific rehearsal dates prior to planning a visit. The Big Orange Chorus is a 501 (c)(3)

Happy birthday to one of our chorus members, Dave Schubert! Dave turned 90 today so we celebrated with some cake and sang Happy Birthday to him during our rehearsal last night. Dave has been singing barbershop for 59 years and has been in our chorus for 19 years! He always comes to rehearsal with a positive attitude and is one of the nicest men you could ever meet! We’re happy to have Dave in our chorus!

Tuesday's barbershop tag is from the gospel classic "Swing Down Chariot." This song is one of our favorites to sing! It's a fun up-tune filled with spiritual messages and barbershop harmony!
