Old McDonald’s Farm has made it to the new Fairgrounds on Normandy Blvd. The folks pictured stored most the display in a donated container. After the hard morning, lunch was prepared by members for everyone on site that day. We actually don’t know where or how are display will look this year. Exciting times ahead. Westside has sponsored the farm for more than 40 years and allowed us to serve the children in many ways.

David Christian and Bert Wasmund from our club had the pleasure of presenting a Florida Kiwanis Foundation Grant check of $500 to the officers of the West Nassau Key Club to help fund a service project. It was for a senior prom at the Life Care Center Health Center in Hilliard, FL.

Glad I attended, since it was a special day.

This past Saturday, the West Nassau High School Key Club and the Certified Nurse Assistant Club had a great service project at the Life Care Center in Hilliard, FL. They were the hosts for two Senior Proms for the clients at this location. It was planned, coordinated, decorated, and provided treats for everyone. Music played, folks danced, kept time or just enjoyed the fun of the filled gathering. These students went above and beyond making sure everyone had a great time. Our club sponsors the Key Club and one member came to offer support during both functions; Bert Wasmund, Kiwanis Advisor attended, but did very little, but smile and stay out of the way. Our Facility Advisor Patti Edwards and Mrs Barnes also provided support during the two proms.
