Jacksonville Community Center Since 1998, the Jacksonville Community Center has been housed in a small, 842-square-foot cottage at Fourth and Main Street in Jacksonville.

With affordable and free programs and performances in arts, music, culture, crafts, nature, cooking, history and wellness, Jacksonville Community Center is a gathering place for all ages serving the residents of Jacksonville and surrounding communities. The two-room cottage was remodeled by volunteers and has been used by local non-profit organizations for meetings, crafts, music and social activities, and for the staging of parades and other Jacksonville events. However, the cottage was intended to be a temporary solution, which could not come close to housing all the activities that residents desired. Jacksonville Seniors, Inc. had the vision to create a separate nonprofit, Jacksonville Community Center, with the purpose of establishing a larger community center for adults and children in this area. For many years, the profits of the Jacksonville Collectibles and Thrift Store as well as the funds from the Celebrate the Arts festival, were conserved in anticipation of constructing a larger Center. More recently, momentum has been growing steadily toward the day when we can break ground. Join us for this momentous coming very soon!

DID YOU KNOW...JCC has 87 active volunteers?

Last year, they contributed 882 volunteer shifts for a total of 2664 hours.

Based on the federal per-hour wage valuation of volunteer time, that equates to $92,556 given in support of JCC's programs and our community! We are SO grateful!

๐Ÿซ– Celebrating Our Amazing Volunteers at JCC! โ˜•โœจ

We recently hosted our "Volun-Tea" Party at the Jacksonville Community Center to express our heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful volunteers who keep our community thriving!

Organized by Tori Wood, our Volunteer & Facility Coordinator, the afternoon was filled with laughter, fun games, and fantastic style during our hat contest! ๐ŸŽฉ๐Ÿ‘‘

A huge thank you to Lou's Loafs for providing a delicious, cozy lunch that fit our tea party theme perfectly. ๐Ÿฅช๐Ÿฐ

Our programs and events couldn't happen without the dedication and time of our volunteers. Thank you for everything you do for JCC and Jacksonville! โค๏ธ
