Ms. Mary’s needs were pretty simple. Like so many other seniors in our community, she could no longer drive but needed to get to doctors’ appointments. She tried other ride options but they did not meet her needs. She enrolled in Hart Felt’s Transportation Program in July of 2025 and has since received 14 rides to appointments.

Whereas she previously felt anxious when she had an appointment due to transportation challenges, she now looks forward to it. Her daughter said, “She does a little dance in her wheelchair when Dan drives her.” Ms. Mary confirmed that she and Dan clicked from the very first drive but was complimentary of all the drivers. “They all drive so good and so carefully,” she said. “They put Jesus first in their driving and they care. They help check me in and help me remember what the doctor said. Everything they do is such a blessing.”

Ms. Sonya met her new volunteer, Marisa George. Ms. Sonya and Marisa are both from New York and enjoy gardening. The ladies plan to incorporate walks into their visits and Marisa will also help Ms. Sonya organize her paperwork.

Ms. Marsha is the new owner of a sturdy set of railings thanks to volunteer Scott Meier! Scott built a new set after her old ones rotted. Ms. Marsha can now get in and out of her home safely.

Ms. Pauline met her new volunteer, Mallory Valentine. Both ladies love Disney. In fact, Ms. Pauline worked for Disney when she lived in California! Ms. Pauline told Mallory she will teach her how to etch. Mallory will help Ms. Pauline with shopping and transportation.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes from Clemson University chose Jacksonville as their spring break service destination. Three of our clients – Ms. Kathryn, Ms. Nancy, and Ms. Marlene – were blessed with yard clean-up projects. Thank you to Builders Care for connecting the group with us! Clemson FCA
