Flying out to Michigan to pick up "Karen." Spartan painted and rebuilt the engine and she's ready to come home. Flying out on the 29th and hope to be back on the 30th.

This morning was the next step in trying to have a old surplus rescue unit donated by the city of Jacksonville. The city council rules and finance committee have been toying with the early 2000 unit to donate it to Pink Heals or sell it at auction. The vote is in and Councilman Carter, Holt, and Councilwoman Daniels voted to donate. Councilman Boyer, Brown, Clark, Crescimbeni, Gulliford, Schellenberg, and Councilwoman Boyer voted to sell.

Councilman Holt and Connie Holt was the driving force in getting the Old Fire Station 35 reverted back to the Volunteers and they donated to Pink Heals. The also were the driving force in introducing the bill in trying to get the unit donated.

I'll be checking the auction to see if it is available and purchase outright.

Got Chase back together from the accident. Went to Ashford, AL for an event for a trial run on May 7.

Spent the day cutting the metal for repairing Chase. Burned up a Skillsaw. A little welding on the bumper and put it all back together. Got to find some handles to help climb up to the top though.

Went to Ft Myers on Sunday and what a city. They get it. They had a paint the town pink, supported the Pink Heals Program, and hosted a run that morning.

Clay County Fire Department is hosting a Pink Heals Stop in Friday September 27th.

Pink Heals National will be at the Winn Dixie on CR-220 on Friday @ 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Clay County has stepped up to the plate and invited the Pink Heals Tour to stop in Orange Park the end of September. They will be in St. Johns County the next day.
