Baking Memories 4 Kids is seeking two families in northern or central Florida to receive an all-expenses-paid vacation in 2027 to Give Kids the World Village and Orlando-area theme parks.

Families may be considered if they:
💙 Have a child between the ages of 3 and 18
💙 Have a medically authorized critical illness
💙 Have not received and are not currently receiving another wish

Selected families will also be asked to participate in some publicity during their surprise announcement and after their trip to help raise awareness about the foundation’s mission.

The first days of school can bring a lot of emotions, for students and for the grown-ups who love them. New routines, new faces, new classrooms, and that big question every parent carries with them:

“Is my child happy? Are they connecting? Are they doing okay?”

We thought you might like a little peek at the answer. 💙

Your kids are learning, playing, exploring, laughing, and making new friends at Hope Haven’s Mainspring Academy. They’re settling into their routines, building confidence, discovering new things, and creating the kinds of connections that help school begin to feel like a place where they belong.

And while these photos capture some pretty wonderful moments, they represent something even bigger: children being encouraged to grow at their own pace, celebrate who they are, and experience the joy of learning alongside friends who are growing right along with them.

The first week of school at Hope Haven’s Mainspring Academy hit all the right notes! 💙

Our students jumped into the new school year with smiles, curiosity, movement, and plenty of rhythm as they explored the wonderful world of music. From learning about beats and rhythm to experiencing different sounds and instruments, they were having so much fun they may not have even realized how much they were learning along the way. 🥁🎵

A very special THANK YOU to Dinah Frilling and Harmonic Roots HOME for bringing music therapy to our Mainspring students and helping make their first week back such a joyful one!

WE LOVE watching our students learn through music. Building communication skills, coordination, self-expression, confidence, and connection, and judging by these smiles, they’re definitely ready for an amazing year ahead. 💙🎶

💙 An Unexpected Visitor. A Beautiful Connection to Hope Haven’s Past.

Today, we had the most wonderful surprise at Hope Haven.

Mr. Bob Morris stopped by to visit a place that has stayed with him for more than 70 years.

Bob shared that he volunteered at Hope Haven during the summer between his sophomore and junior years at the University of Florida, sometime in the 1950s. He remembers Dr. Lovejoy and recalls spending his summer greeting patients and their families as they came through our doors.

What may have seemed like a simple summer volunteer experience at the time became something much more.

Bob told us that his time at Hope Haven changed his life.

There is something incredibly special about hearing those words all these decades later.

As Hope Haven celebrates more than a century of serving children and families, moments like this remind us that our story is made up of people. The children and families who have trusted us. The professionals who have cared for them. The volunteers who have given their time. And the countless individuals who walked through our doors and carried a little piece of Hope Haven with them throughout their lives.

Today, Bob walked back through those doors.

And for a moment, Hope Haven’s past and present came together in the most beautiful way. 💙

Thank you, Mr. Morris, for coming back to see us, for sharing your memories, and for reminding us that we may never fully know how deeply one experience, one interaction, or one act of service can shape a life.
