Did you know that NE FL Firefighter Wives Foundation elected a new board last month? Those board members met yesterday for the first time. It was a morning of getting to know one another, brainstorming and planning for 2023.

We cannot wait to be more involved in the community and to have new ways to support one another too!

🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️ GATE RIVER RUN 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️

NE FL Firefighter Wives Foundation has been invited back AGAIN this year as a spotlight charity with the 2022 Gate River Run. This event is the ONLY fundraising we do in order to keep the Foundation up and running.

The Gate River Run Charity Run 5k donates 100% of the proceeds back to 501(c)3 charities that volunteer >90hours during the week of the Gate River Run.

We have worked this event 2 years in a row. It has allowed us to send meals, flowers, edible arrangements, pay for license renewals etc. Without this event we literally would have NO financial support.

I say all of this bc I need you, your high schoolers, family and friends……anyone willing and able to volunteer for this event. You DO NOT need to be related to a fire fighter. Just be willing and sign up.

The dates and times volunteers are needed:
🏃‍♀️ March 2: 12-6pm
🏃‍♂️ March 3: 11a-6pm
🏃‍♀️ March 4: 9a-8p
🏃‍♂️ March 5: 6a-1pm

Volunteering is in 2 hour increments. You can sign up for 2 hours or a whole day. I recommend 2-4hr increments as it’s not too short but not too long.

This is an ideal experience for high school kids trying to qualify for their bright future scholarships. Its an awesome opportunity to meet new fire wives too.

Just an overall fun experience.

Thank you to the NE FL Firefighter Wives Foundation for providing winter coats for teens at our Independent Living Village. Having a warm jacket this time of year is an incredible gift. Your generosity is very much appreciated by all!

Tomorrow the NE FL Firefighter Wives Foundation will be delivering over 40 coats to Daniel Kids.

These coats will go towards helping the youth of Project Launch Kids and Project Prepare. The kids of these programs are homeless youth ages teenagers to 21. If you would like to learn more about it the link is posted below!

The first annual JFRD Co****le Tournament benefitting Make-A-Wish is this Saturday July 17th. There will be food trucks, drinks, music and more. Registration is open to all as we are still trying to fill some teams. Check in is at 12:00, and the tournament will start around 1:00. Cost is $40 per team. PM me if you’re interested, this will be a great event for an even greater cause, so don’t miss out!
