Millions of Americans have lost access to SNAP benefits following the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and Jacksonville nonprofits said the need in their community continues to grow.

For the third year in a row, The Boeing Company and the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp teamed up to host 40 of our students and their families for a morning filled with school supply shopping, STEM activities, and an up-close look at some incredible aircraft. ✈️

This is the kind of fun we had during our summer camps! 😎

Students at Terry Parker High School put their teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills to the test for a Hunger Games-themed capstone challenge.

Working together to overcome obstacles, they showcased their creativity, resilience, and collaboration every step of the way. Their final projects were evaluated by local city leaders, who ultimately crowned the winning team. 👑

Take a book, share a book! 📚✨

Today marked the grand opening of the Little Free Library at Sallye B. Mathis Elementary! This city-wide literacy initiative will help expand access to books and inspire love of reading throughout our schools and community.

The libraries will stand as a testament to what's possible when city leaders, schools, and community partners come together to invest in our students. Thank you to everyone who helped make this special day possible, especially Mayor Donna Deegan for bringing the Bookmobile and allowing each student to select a book to take home!
