It’s hard to believe it has already been a week since we returned home from an incredible Miss Florida and Miss Florida’s Teen Competition Week in Lakeland! What an unforgettable week it was for TEAM NORTHEAST FLORIDA (Miss Northeast Florida Organization)—our titleholders came in on fire and represented our organization with excellence, grace, and determination!

First, congratulations to Alexandra de Roos – Miss Manatee 2026 on being crowned Miss Florida 2026! Ready to cheer you on at Miss America!

And an extra special congratulations to our very own Sheridan Delegal – Miss First Coast’s Teen 2026 on being crowned Miss Florida's Teen 2026! We are beyond proud of you and can’t wait to watch your year of service and cheer you on at Miss America’s Teen!

We are just 29 days away from the Miss Florida and Miss Florida’s Teen 2026 Competition in Lakeland!

As a cherished pageant tradition, we are honored to host a send-off celebration in recognition of our incredible titleholders. Our 11 young women have dedicated themselves wholeheartedly—serving their communities, volunteering across surrounding areas, and committing countless hours to preparation and growth.

From mastering interview skills to refining every detail of their stage presence, they have shown focus, discipline, and true dedication to excellence.

Now, it is time to pause, reflect, and celebrate them.

Before they take the Miss Florida and Miss Florida’s Teen stage, we come together in admiration and pride to honor the journey, the effort, and the grace they’ve carried every step of the way.

Miss America Announces West Palm Beach as New Host City! Iconic Pageant Lands in The Palm Beaches, “America’s First Resort Destination®”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 7, 2026 — The Miss America Organization is proud to announce that the upcoming Miss America Competition will take place August 28–September 6, 2026, in West Palm Beach, Florida, in The Palm Beaches — known as “America’s First Resort Destination®” — with key events hosted at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, and the Hilton West Palm Beach.

The announcement marks a defining moment in the New Era of Miss America, aligning one of the nation’s most enduring platforms for women with a destination recognized for its visionary growth and cultural influence. The iconic competition will commemorate 105 years of Miss America and culminate on the evening of September 6th in the crowning of the 99th woman to wear the crown, as the new Miss America!

West Palm Beach’s selection as host city signals a bold new chapter for the organization. As a global destination for arts, culture, and world-class events, The Palm Beaches provide a powerful backdrop for the future of Miss America.

The Miss Northeast Florida Organization extends our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Carrie Everett, Miss North Carolina 2024, as well as to the entire Miss North Carolina Scholarship Organization.

Carrie’s impact reached far beyond the stage. During her year of service, she uplifted and empowered students at historically Black colleges and universities, encouraging them to embrace the opportunities available through the Miss America Organization. Her passion for inspiring individuals from underrepresented and marginalized communities was evident in everything she did—reminding others to invest in themselves, walk with purpose, and pursue their dreams without hesitation.

In moments like this, we are reminded that this organization is more than a competition—it is a sisterhood. It is a lifelong bond and a pageant family that stands together in both celebration and sorrow. Today, we grieve alongside you, holding close the memories, the impact and the light Carrie shared with so many.

May her legacy continue to shine through every life she touched, and may that light bring comfort, strength, and peace in the days ahead.
