From Samburu to St. Rita - The Journey That Changed Everything 🌍
"A girl in Samburu. No safe place. No future visible from where she's standing. Then GDP shows up.

339 kilometers later she is at St. Rita Evergreen Girls School in Nyahururu. In a classroom. With her baby safe beside her. Learning. Healing. Becoming.

That drive was never just a drive. It was a rescue. And we'd do it a thousand times over.

From GDP's Care to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This Is Faith. 🌟
"Some kids arrive at GDP's children's homes with nothing but a story nobody should have to carry. Faith was one of those kids.

Today she is interning at Kenya's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Let that sink in.

This is exactly why GDP does not just feed children and call it done. We stay. We mentor. We invest in futures that nobody else believed in yet. Because when you believe in a child long enough, they start believing in themselves.

Faith believed. And look at her now!

They Told Us It Was Too Far. We Went Anyway. 🌍
"339 kilometers from Nairobi. One of Kenya's most remote and forgotten corners. 50% teen pregnancy rate. 76% illiteracy. Girls facing child marriage before they even get a chance at childhood.

Most organizations look at those numbers and look away.

GDP looked at those numbers and packed the van.

Every quarter we show up in Samburu with supplies, training, and rescue capacity - because consistency is what builds trust in communities that have been let down too many times before.

September 12th we go again. And we need YOU to help us show up fully.

She Showed Up. So Did We. 🌸
This photo says everything words cannot. We made the journey to Osarai Primary School in Kajiado, fed the kids, delivered supplies to the village, and sat with people who rarely see outside help. No fanfare. No big announcements. Just GDP going where the need is greatest. This woman's quiet strength and expectant eyes? That is exactly why we keep going into the hard places.

40 girls are safe. More than 2,000 are still waiting.

Each number represents a girl who needs education, protection, stability, and a safe place to rebuild her future.

St. Rita Girls School—East Africa’s first trauma-informed residential girls’ school—is helping students understand that they are safe, valued, capable, and loved.

But the need has already outgrown the available space.

Together, we can expand the classrooms, dormitories, healthcare, and support needed to welcome the next girl.

The waiting list is a number. Every place on it is a life.
