World Youth Day is more than an international Catholic event; it’s a pilgrimage inviting young people to step beyond daily routines and comforts, encounter Catholics from around the world, pray with the Holy Father, and return home with a greater sense of faith and mission.

To date we have 27 pilgrims registered for World Youth Day Seoul. Registration remains open for all three options: WYD Seoul, the Japan extension, and the Vietnam extension.

We encourage anyone considering joining to register soon to secure a spot and confirm travel arrangements—each itinerary offers unique spiritual and cultural experiences that complement the WYD program. Please join us for a Young Adult Service Day — a day of community, relationship-building, and hands-on service across Jacksonville.

We’ll meet for a light breakfast at Mary, Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, be assigned to local service sites (City Rescue Mission, Ronald McDonald House, Sanctuary on 8th Street, Somer’s Garden, Epic Farms, Clothes Closet, and more), then return to share stories, praye together, and enjoy an optional dinner.

The Diocese of St. Augustine Young Adult Ministry will host a Theology of Tap event tonight, Monday, June 1 at Mellow Mushroom located at 3611 St. Johns Ave., Jacksonville from 7 to 9 p.m. There is additional parking in the rear of the restaurant.

Mike Day, Director of the DOSA Family Life Office will be the night's featured speaker talking about communication essentials, nurturing connection in every relationship.

He has always been a favorite speaker! Join us and plan to invite a friend.

Mike Day, director of the diocese family life office, will be the night's featured speaker talking about communication essentials by nurturing connection in every relationship.

It is a free event and everyone ages 21-39 are welcome to attend.

Pilgrimage & Cultural Tour of Vietnam World Youth Day 2027 Extended Trip Option

Interested in joining the DOSA extended WYD option- a 7‑day Pilgrimage & Cultural Tour of Vietnam? We will have the opportunity to walk the living history of the Catholic Church in Vietnam and prepare spiritually for World Youth Day in Seoul. This guided pilgrimage blends daily Mass, sacred sites, cultural immersion, and communal prayer — a journey of faith, heritage, and renewal.

Highlights
Sacred liturgies at historic cathedrals: Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon and St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Hà Nội.

Iconic parish visits in Saigon: St. Francis Xavier (Chinese Catholic Church), Tân Định “Pink Church,” and the Redemptorist Church & Catholic Center.

Central and coastal treasures: Mang Lang Church (1892), Christ the King Cathedral in Nha Trang, and the Sea Cliff of Stone Plates for prayerful reflection.

Marian devotion: Our Lady Star of the Sea in Đà Nẵng and the National Marian Shrine of Our Lady of La Vang — the spiritual summit of the pilgrimage.

Northern heritage: Phát Diệm Stone Cathedral — a unique blend of Vietnamese and European architecture.

Daily rhythm: Masses, guided tours, personal prayer time, and fellowship.

Forward travel: From Hà Nội the group continues to Seoul for World Youth Day.

If you are interested in attending World Youth Day, the initial deposit of $750.00 is due to our travel agent, DUBE Travel, on June 15. To date, we have 23 pilgrims, and we expect that number to grow as there has been significant interest throughout the diocese.

This fall, we will announce our catechesis schedule—three sessions to help pilgrims prepare spiritually—and we will host at least one fundraiser. Registration will remain open for several months, so if you plan to bring a delegation or know anyone who may be interested, please let them know there is still plenty of time to register.
