TOMORROW! Trailblazers 2026 takes flight . . .

Since 2009, 2nd Mile has hosted an annual summer day camp in Brentwood. We did camp in a retired firehouse that first year, Camp in a Box virtually in 2020, and themes and stations you can't even imagine. It's always the busiest, loudest, and most rewarding time of year. Pray specifically for tomorrow to yield strengthened partnerships with existing students, new families we will come to know for decades, and the hypest, loudest camp on the Northside.

One of the assets of our community is IDEAS. In our line of work the saying goes, "The people with the problem have the best solution". Rather than looking outside, we seek to look within, talk to our neighbors, listen to them, and then most importantly act based on what has been said.

Community-based work that doesn't start with community-raised ideas risks being fruitless, ineffective, or even harmful. Community-based work that starts with community listening may take longer but it lasts.
