Meet Daisy, a bright, bouncy, belly-rub-loving sweetheart who is ready to bloom in a new forever home. At just 7 months old, this precious girl has all the joyful puppy sparkle you would expect, along with a heart full of love for her people.

Daisy is looking for a new family through no fault of her own. Her military family must relocate and, sadly, cannot take her along. She was purchased as a purebred Golden Retriever, though as she grows, she appears to have a little mystery mixed into her golden charm. Whatever her heritage may be, Daisy is 100% adorable.

This lovely girl currently weighs about 40 pounds. She is up to date on her shots and vaccines, has been on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention, and is protected from those pesky “nasties.” When the appropriate time comes for her to be spayed, the Rescue will reimburse a portion of the spay cost.
Daisy has that classic young Golden-style energy: playful, happy, curious, and full of life. She is as sweet as they come and simply loves being near her humans. She enjoys tug of war, chasing playmates, chewing bones, going for walks, and soaking up every belly rub she can get.

She is housebroken and crate trained, knows simple commands, and has done well with children and other dogs. Because she is still an enthusiastic puppy, she may be a bit too energetic for kitties right now.

Daisy’s dream home would be an active family in a single-family home with a fenced backyard where she can run, romp, and play to her heart’s content. A playful doggy sibling who can match her puppy energy would make her tail wag with joy, and children in the home would be a wonderful bonus.

Sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what Poppy is made of!!! Poppy is a beautiful four-year-old purebred Golden with a gentle heart, a bright mind, and SO much love to give! After a difficult start in life, she has blossomed through patience, training and care into a truly special companion. She came to GREAT Rescue from an Amish puppy mill, but thanks to the dedication of her foster and adoptive family, she has transformed into a happy, well-mannered girl who is ready for her next chapter in life. Now, because of her humans' "lifestyle changes" in her current home, Poppy is searching for a new foreverhome where she can continue to feel safe, loved, and understood.

Poppy has so many wonderful qualities to offer. She is housetrained, very well behaved indoors, and a joy to have around the home. She loves daily walks, car rides, treats, and spendiing time with other dogs. She is playful, curious, and enjoys simple pleasures like running through puddles, fetching sticks and balls, exploring outside and chasing lizards. She is also incredibly smart and eager to learn. She already knows many commmands, has earned her "Canine Good Citizen Award," and would likely thrive with someone who enjoys continued training, enrichment, and maybe even therapy work, service work or dog sports.

Although Poppy is not a big cuddler, she forms deep bonds with the people she trusts, and loves being near them. Because of her past and the training that helped her heal, she is expecially attached to women and feels most secure with them. Her ideal home will include a woman who is home during the day, either as a stay-at-home mom, or someone who works from home. She also does best with another friendly, wel-mannered large dog for companionship and confidence. She would also love a fully fenced yard where she can play and explore safely.

Poppy does have a few special considerations. She is afraid of thunderstorms, and loud noises; she takes medication to help manage her anxiety during Florida storms and fireworks. She is not comfortable in a crate because of her "puppy mill" background, so she needs a family who understands that and can continue to provide the calm, supportive environment she deserves.

Poppy is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and weighs 68 pounds. Her ideal home is Jacksonville, St. Johns or Clay County so any support needed during her transition can be provided. Her new home should not have children under 8.

Do you remember the 9 little souls who were orphaned when their mother was hit by a car? These 9-week-old St. Patrick’s Day babies have come such a long way, thanks to the love of their foster families and a whole lot of luck. They are happy, healthy, playful, and absolutely overflowing with puppy sweetness. Every one of these little shamrocks has been cherished, cuddled, and beautifully socialized, and now they’re ready to find the forever families they deserve. Mom was a purebred Golden Retriever, and we believe Dad was a black Lab—so yes, they are as cute as that combination sounds, and probably already practicing their “pick me” faces.

These precious pups have already been to the vet for deworming and their first vaccinations, and they are on heartworm, flea, and tick preventative. A Health Certificate has been issued for every puppy, confirming that each one has been deemed very healthy for babies this age.

These puppies will thrive in single-family homes with fenced back yards. Because they are so young, we will consider homes with children under the age of 5. Of course, they can be trained to be friendly with respectful dogs and cats in the home. Ideally, because they will need continued training, guidance, and lots of love as they grow, there should be someone at home most of the time. These puppies CANNOT be crated during an entire work day.

The $475 adoption fee includes the first shots. Adopters will be responsible for subsequent shots and vetting, and reimbursement is available for up to $300 for spay and $250 for neuter when the puppies are an appropriate age for those procedures.

Adopters must submit an adoption application by visiting greatrescue.org. PLEASE, ONLY APPLY if you are TRULY SERIOUS about giving one of these puppies a loving, lifelong home... NO "Tire Kickers," PLEASE!! If your application is approved, you will be contacted and instructed on how to meet the puppy you are interested in. Seeking: A Home Where We Can Stay Together Forever ❤️

We’re Penny and Sunny - 1 year old best friends, wrestling partners, professional squirrel-watchers, and full-time snack inspectors. We’ve been together since we were tiny puppies, and honestly? We can’t imagine life without each other.

I’m Penny, the golden girl with the big personality. My foster mom says I’m smart, confident, and always ready to see what’s going on. And I’m Sunny - the cream-colored goofy guy who loves making everyone laugh and following Penny into whatever adventure she’s planned for the day.

We love the simple things:
🐾 Running around the yard together
🐾 Swimming and splashing in the pool
🐾 Long walks and new smells
🐾 Frozen lick mats, fruit, veggies, and toys
🐾 Lounging in the kitchen while our humans cook

Some things are still a little scary — bikes, scooters, and golf carts can make us pause — but our foster mom helps us sit politely until they pass, and we’re getting braver all the time.

Our family loved us very much, but life changed unexpectedly, and now we’re looking for a forever home where we can stay together forever. That’s our biggest wish.

We’re hoping for a family that loves being active and outdoors, has a fenced yard for zoomies, and maybe even a pool for swimming. Mostly, we just want people who will love us as much as we’ll love them back.

EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE NEEDED!!!! URGENT!!!*****
The Mama of these 9 adorable babies was tragically killed by a car yesterday, leaving them orphaned. GREAT is DESPERATELY seeking to find fosters for them for the next 5 or so weeks so that they can be raised in a safe and loving home before they are adopted to their forever families. This is very important for their physical and social health. They are happy, healthy "roly polys" and have been well taken care of thus far, but need to be placed in a more stable situation. The are already eating "puppy mush" on their own, so no bottle feeding is necessary.

Mama was a registered purebread Golden and Dad is unknown, but the puppies appear very "golden." The puppies will be completely vetted by one of our vet partners before being placed with their foster, and GREAT will provide for any puppy supplies needed to make raising them easier. We will also be responsible for finding their adoptive homes. We only need folks who will finish "raising" them in a comfortable environment.

We are asking for folks who will take 3 or more of the puppies in order for them to continue to be with their littlermates until they are old enough to be completely separated. This helps ensure the emotional comfort and socialization for the puppies.
If you can (or know someone who can) help these precious babies for the next severeal weeks, we would appreciate it more than you could possibly know!
