American Infidels VMC North Carolina American Infidels is an American Motorcycle Club dedicated to the promotion of the "American Way". We passionately support our Military Members and Veterans.

We believe as American Infidels that the freedoms that have been bestowed upon us are not to be taken for granted; and to never forget that the ideals and freedoms we live by and enjoy are a direct result of the bloodshed on the battlefields by the warriors that have come before us. These brothers in arms un-selfishly sacrificed the enjoyment of their freedoms so that we could live the "American Way!"

American Infidels reject and oppose anti-American views that are being propelled by Islamic Terrorists and Fundamentalist groups. We shall forever honor those that have sacrificed for us! OUR PRIMARY GOAL is to promote the Ideals and beliefs that founded this country. We aim to develop a bond between all Righteous Americans that Believe in the freedoms that were given to us by the founding fathers and protected by the War Veterans that came before us. Today, we honor and remember the 241 American service members who were killed in the Beirut barracks bombing on October 23, 1983.

At 6:22 a.m., a su***de bomber drove an explosives-laden truck into the headquarters building of Battalion Landing Team 1/8 at the Beirut International Airport. The attack took the lives of 220 Marines, 18 Sailors, and 3 Soldiers serving as part of the multinational peacekeeping force in Lebanon.

Forty-three years later, we remember their names, their service, their sacrifice, and the families and brothers-in-arms who have carried their memory ever since.

For the Marine Corps community, especially here in eastern North Carolina, Beirut remains personal. Many of those lost were part of the 24th Marine Amphibious Unit and 1st Battalion, 8th Marines from Camp Lejeune.

Today is about them.

241 Americans. Never forgotten.

October 23, 1983 — Beirut, Lebanon
