Canteen
The Canteen is running out of chips. If you have chips at home, please bring them in to the Post and use them. Sorry, there can be no cash redemptions allowed.

I am trying to get a list of Veteran-Owned Small Business (especially VFW members) together to post on our bulletin board. If you know of someone, please reply and give me the name of the business, what they do, address and phone numbers. At this time, I have only received 2 responses and I will have to abort this attempt. Please support your VFW comrades and let me know of veteran-owned small businesses, especially if they are VFW members. We want to support our veteran-owned small businesses and help them out.
As you can see, volunteers are drying up and we need volunteers for all of our meal services, especially pizza night, Fridays and Sundays for breakfast. Please let me know if you would like to volunteer and what times you are available (first Friday every month, first Sunday every month, etc.). Without the support of every one we will have to stop serving certain meals and that will always take away from our canteen profits every week. Thank you for at least considering volunteering for 1 meal service per month.
The Veteran Villages Annual Picnic will be held on March 21st at Fort McCoy. We hope you can attend. It will be a day of fun, especially for families. If you are able to attend Post 7909 will have some of our bartenders attending to all of your beverage needs.
Post Happenings Schedule for the Week Beginning March 18th, 2026
Wednesday, March 18th
Poor Man's Supper: Supper is pork BBQ sandwiches, coleslaw, potatoes and desert by MOCA. Supper is $6.00 and will be served from 5:15 PM until we run out or the cooks get tired.
Bingo: Starts at 6:00 PM.
Thursday, March 19th
Iraqi Freedom Begins (2003)
Supper (Pizza Night at the Big V): Pizza your way and salad by Fran and crew. A Large Pizza is $12.00, a Small Pizza is $7.00 and Salad is $3.00. Supper will be served from 5:30-7:30 PM.
Shuffleboard: Starts at 6:00 PM.
Entertainment: Karaoke with Kent starting at 7:30 PM.
Friday, March 20th
Supper: Supper is fried fish, fried shrimp, mac and cheese, coleslaw, corn on the cob, green beans, salad and dessert by Walker, Celo, Chili and Ham. Supper is $15.00 and will be served from 5:30-7:30 PM.
Entertainment: Peggy & Hoss starting at 7:30 PM.
Saturday, March 21st
Rosie the Riveter Day
Entertainment: Karaoke with DJ Dave starting at 8:00 PM.
Sunday, March 22nd
Breakfast: Breakfast is by Marvin, Tanya and crew. Breakfast is $8.00 and will be served from 8:30-11:00 AM.
Soft Tip Fun Darts: Starts at 1:00 PM.
Monday, March 23rd
Kosovo Campaign Begins (1999)
Pokeno & 10,000: Starts at 10:00 AM with Linda (Lynn) and friends. BOTH men & ladies are cordially invited for a morning of fun, fellowship and the chance to win some "pocket change." If you don't know how to play, we'll teach you! If you have a favorite board game or card game, bring it with you, and we'll try to incorporate it into the schedule of play! All are welcome!
Tuesday, March 24th
Taco Tuesday by Jessica: Starts at about 11:30 AM.
