Tonight, we will gather to honor our babies, support one another, and stand in solidarity with the many families who have experienced the unimaginable loss of a pregnancy or baby.

As we walk and light candles tonight, we do so not only for ourselves, but also for the families who cannot be with us.

If you can't join us, we invite you to light a candle in honor of a baby you know and love. And if you don't know one, light one for Liam. Take a picture, post it, and tag us so we can share the light and honor our babies together.

As Liam Lives Foundation celebrates 10 years of impact, we are honored to recognize three remarkable women whose compassion, service, and commitment to others embody the spirit of the Amy Malerba Compassion Award.

Each of our nominees has made a meaningful impact in the lives of families and within our community, and over the coming weeks, we’ll introduce you to each of them and share a glimpse into the work that earned them this special recognition.

October carries two important observances close to the work of our organizations: Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This month, we honor the families who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy or baby, while also standing with the women and families impacted by breast cancer. And while these journeys may seem separate, there is an important place where our missions intersect: fertility and family building.

For some women diagnosed with breast cancer, treatment may impact future fertility, making conversations about options such as egg or embryo freezing an important and often time-sensitive part of their care. For others, the path to building or growing a family after treatment may bring additional emotional and financial challenges.

That makes us especially proud to welcome Jiles Jewels, a breast cancer awareness organization, as a Golden Glow Sponsor of The Golden Hour: Celebrating a Decade of Impact.

Through our Family Building Fertility Scholarship, Liam Lives Foundation helps reduce financial barriers for individuals and families pursuing their dream of parenthood. Jiles Jewels’ support represents a beautiful intersection of our missions of honoring women’s health, acknowledging the complexities of fertility, and supporting hope for what comes next.

This October, we remember. We raise awareness. And together, we continue creating pathways for hope.

This November, Liam Lives Foundation is turning 10 YEARS OLD!

For a decade, we have walked alongside families, honored babies gone too soon, advocated for mothers and babies, created spaces for healing, provided education and resources, invested in our community, and worked to make sure families know they do not have to navigate pregnancy, loss, infertility, motherhood, or maternal health challenges alone.

Now, we’re pausing to celebrate just how far we’ve come.

Join us Sunday, November 15, 2026, from 3–7 PM for our 10th Annual Charity Gala and a beautiful afternoon celebrating the people, partnerships, families, and community that have made ten years of impact possible.

Tickets are $125, and your ticket purchase will help us to continue bringing education, advocacy, hope, and healingto our community. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses, organizations, and community partners who want to help us continue this work.

Walk. Remember. Shine. Join us as we honor babies gone too soon through our Memorial Walk and Wave of Light.

Liam Lives Wave of Light & Memorial Walk is a meaningful community event dedicated to honoring and remembering babies gone too soon. Families, friends, and supporters gather in love and remembrance to participate in a memorial walk, share moments of reflection, and join the global Wave of Light candle-lighting ceremony. Together, we create a space for healing, hope, and connection while raising awareness for pregnancy and infant loss and supporting bereaved families in our community.

Today was about helping parents and caregivers feel more prepared, more informed, and more confident when it matters most. 💛

Our Safe Babies, Confident Caregivers event brought families together for hands-on demonstrations and practical education around infant and toddler CPR, first aid, safe sleep, and keeping our little ones safe.

A special thank you to Taiesha Whitaker, our instructor, for sharing her knowledge, providing hands-on demonstrations, answering questions, and generously sponsoring lunch for our families.

We are incredibly grateful to Walmart Spark Good and Community Foundation for Northeast Florida for providing funding that helped make today’s event possible.

Thank you to UF Health Jacksonville for providing the space to host our event and for having a member of their team join us to provide families with Northeast Florida Healthy Start resources, Safe Baby education, and important information focused on infant safety and preventing infant mortality.

We also extend our gratitude to Aisha Gordon, LCSW, of Orchid Soul Wellness and Therapy Services, LLC, for providing mental wellness affirmation and educational worksheets for our parents and caregivers.

This is what community collaboration looks like: organizations and individuals bringing their resources, knowledge, and support together so families leave better equipped to protect and care for their babies and themselves.

And, of course, thank you to every parent and caregiver who spent part of their Saturday learning with us. We hope you left feeling a little more confident because safe babies need confident caregivers.
