Remember: Friends of the Aging follows the closure schedule for Onslow County Senior Services. As such, we will be closed next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, as well as on January 1st.
🎄Christmas Holiday Closures🎄
Most Onslow County offices and operations will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, Thursday December 25, & Friday, December 26, 2025 in observance of the Christmas holiday.
Onslow County Solid Waste: Among the closures is the Onslow County Landfill and Convenience Sites for Wednesday and Thursday December 24 & 25, 2025. The Landfill will reopen on Friday, December 26 and the Convenience Sites will open as usual on Friday, December 26.
Onslow County Public Library branches and the Onslow County Museum - North Carolina will also be closed Wednesday, December 24 through Friday December 26, 2025, but both will observe regular hours Saturday December 27 and through the weekend.
The Onslow County Sheriff's Office public offices will be closed Wednesday-Friday. The administration office will close at 5PM Tuesday, December 23 and the Radio Room closes at 8PM Tuesday and reopens Saturday, December 27. Deputies on shift will still be responding to emergencies.
🎊New Year’s Day Holiday Closures🎊
Most Onslow County offices and operations will be closed on Thursday, January 1, 2026 in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday.
The Onslow County Landfill and Convenience Sites will be closed on Thursday, January 1, 2026. Onslow County Museum will be closed Wednesday, and all Public Library branches will close at 5PM Wednesday, December 31 and remain closed Thursday January 1. The Museum and Library will follow normal business hours Friday, January 2.
Onslow County Sheriff's Office administrative offices will be closed Thursday, January 1, 2026, but Deputies and Animal Services Officers will be responding to emergency calls.
