We kicked off the 2026 Fall Season by meeting Jonathan Walter, a U.S. Army veteran. With his brand-new set of golf clubs, he’s all set to start his golf lessons.
Jonathan Walter proudly served six years in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Specialist and building a career centered around medical support, patient care, and service to his fellow Soldiers.
During his military career, Jonathan served in both Germany and at Fort Stewart, Georgia. His assignments gave him the opportunity to experience different Army environments and work alongside Soldiers and medical professionals from a variety of units and organizations. Among his assignments were the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, and MEDDAC.
Jonathan’s military career was primarily focused on Army medicine. He served as a Dental Assistant as well as a Surgical Technician, roles that required attention to detail, professionalism, teamwork, and the ability to remain composed in demanding situations. As a Dental Assistant, he supported dental care and helped ensure Soldiers received the treatment they needed to maintain their readiness. As a Surgical Technician, he took on additional responsibilities within the surgical environment, supporting medical teams and contributing to the care of patients.
His time in Germany provided him with valuable overseas experience and the opportunity to serve alongside members of the Army in an international setting. His service at Fort Stewart further strengthened his experience within one of the Army’s major operational communities. Through his assignments with the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, and MEDDAC, Jonathan gained a broad understanding of the importance of medical readiness and the role that medical personnel play in supporting the overall mission.
Throughout his six years of service, Jonathan developed qualities that extended beyond his military duties. Discipline, accountability, teamwork, adaptability, and commitment became important parts of both his professional and personal character. His experience as a Specialist allowed him to contribute directly to the health and readiness of fellow Soldiers while developing skills that would remain valuable long after his military service.
Jonathan’s Army career represents six years of dedication, sacrifice, and service. From Germany to Fort Stewart, and from the dental clinic to the surgical environment, his military experience provided him with opportunities to serve others, develop professionally, and become part of something larger than himself. His time in uniform remains an important chapter of his life and a foundation for the person and professional he continues to be today.
We salute Jonathan for his dedicated service to our nation. We are looking forward to watching him enjoy golf, whether in a casual game with friends or competing alongside his fellow veterans.
