Spirit of Resh Foundation is dedicated to Lois Joy Myers and David Lynn Akard, whose lives and deaths inspired these principles by which we serve:

1. Life is precious—this moment is all we have.
3. Respect for all life creates vital, healthy communities.
4. The purpose of human life is to love, learn, grow and serve.
5. Honesty—expressed with compassion—builds intimacy and trust.
6. Forgiveness

is the path to healing.
7. It is up to each of us to make the most of the circumstances we are given by life.
8. Trusting in the interconnectedness between that which is seen and unseen transforms fear into love.
