Duval County Council of PTAs Advocating for all Duval County students Duval County Council PTA is a group of local PTAs organized under the authority of the Florida PTA.

Local PTAs join the Council as a unit, not as individual members, and pay dues according to the Council bylaws. The Council president is a member of the Florida PTA Board of Directors. A County Council is the direct line of support and resource to the PTAs within its boundaries.

Today, Oct. 5, 2026, is the final day to register to vote for the General Election to be held on Nov. 3, 2026. Eligible Duval County residents can register online at duvalelections.gov, at the Supervisor of Elections Office at 105 E. Monroe Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32202, or at any Jacksonville Public Library.

Join the Duval County Council of PTAs for our Fall Workshop tomorrow, October 3, at 9:00 a.m.

With tracks for Presidents, Treasurers, and General / All-Officers, you’ll find training focused on the work your board does every day—leading meetings, managing finances, communicating with families, growing membership, and supporting your school community.

Before you head out, review the workshop flyer, look for sessions marked REQUIRED and NEW, and connect with your fellow board members about the training they plan to attend.

You can love your family, care deeply about your school, and still need someone to lean on.

Asking for help is not a failure. You were never meant to do everything alone.

Text a friend. Invite someone for coffee. Let another parent know you could use a listening ear or an extra hand. When you have the capacity, extend that same kindness to someone else.

Let’s make our PTA communities places where support goes both ways and asking for help is welcomed.
