Just wanted tot thank everyone who shared and liked the previous post about Abbey (now deleted)... She was Jason's other baby girl and she's home safe thanks to the kindness of strangers and maybe a little help from her angel daddy!

I'm about 17 days late in making this post but I'm sure Jason will forgive me!

A year (and 17 days ago) Jason Fe Langston made history, he completed 48 Iron-distance Triathlons in 4 months time setting 2 world records in the process. Inspired by one of his support crew member's painting of the trip, he gave the trip its own logo 4.48 2 - written like a gas price sign.

He wanted to do this amazing feat in order to bring more attention to a cause that was near and dear to his heart - animal abuse and animal cruelty especially with pit bulls. There was never an animal that Jason could turn his back on and helped many find permanent loving homes.

Jason and his cause did not receive the recognition that he so greatly deserved. A point many of us who were close to Jason want to see change in the future.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I hope that you will all take a minute and give back to the furry friends in your lives. And maybe take a moment to give thanks to someone as amazing as Jason who set out to make a difference in this world.

The journey is complete. California was one of the hardest. 4 flat tires, almost hit by 2 cars, stopped by 47 stop lights and slowed down by 75 more lights on the bike. The run went well but could feel the effects of having to stop and go for all the lights. But 2 world records are set. WR #1 First person in history to complete and Iron Distance triathlon in each of the 48 contiguous states and since I completed them in 4 months the #2 world record is the most Iron tri's completed in a single year. The old record was more than half at 20.

#47/Nevada is done. Good roads on US 95. First 20 or so mile were straight up with a head wind. Averaged 13.3 mph. But the day got better and finished before dark. Run was warm and enjoyed my next to last one. Tomorrow is the big day. My last Iron Distance triathlon in the contiguous 48 states. Setting two world records in the process. only one more to go. Woohoo
