Northeast Florida AIDS Network NFAN provides compassionate leadership, support, services, and advocacy for the Northeast Florida HIV+ community in Duval, Clay, St. Johns, Baker, and Nassau.

Northeast Florida AIDS Network (NFAN) was established in 1989 as a regional community-based organization responsible for planning and coordinating HIV/AIDS services in Northeast Florida. Today, NFAN is the longest-standing community-based AIDS service organization in the area. Our sole purpose is to provide comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and advocacy services and programs throughout Duval, Clay, Nassau, and St. Johns counties.

NFAN was proud to celebrate PRIDE and join the community this past weekend, honoring love, inclusion, authenticity, and the strength of Jacksonville’s LGBTQ+ community. Thank you to everyone who joined us in the parade and helped make the weekend a joyful, meaningful celebration. We’re proud to stand with the community—not just during Pride, but year-round.

❤️ STRENGTH UNITES 2026 | TONIGHT AT 6PM ❤️

Friends of The Quilt invites the HIV community, advocates, healthcare partners, allies, supporters, and community members to gather at Friendship Fountain tonight at 6 pm, for a powerful public demonstration of unity, remembrance, and commitment to ending HIV stigma.

At 6:15–6:45 p.m., participants will come together to form a Human Red Ribbon — transforming an international symbol of HIV awareness into something deeply human: people standing together. ❤️

This gathering is more than an awareness event. It’s a visible statement that Jacksonville:
🔴 Remembers those lost to HIV/AIDS
🔴 Stands beside people with HIV today
🔴 Rejects stigma and embraces dignity
🔴 Supports HIV awareness, prevention, and treatment
🔴 Believes in the power of community to create healthier futures

Today is National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day.
 
A day to honor the resilience of older adults living with HIV and to shine a light on the unique challenges they face. People living with HIV are living longer—and growing older. More than half of people with diagnosed HIV in the U.S. are 50 or older. Behind every statistic is a person, a family, a friend, and a community. Aging with HIV can bring unique experiences and medical challenges, including increased risks of heart disease, diabetes, and social isolation. No one should have to navigate these challenges alone. Let’s advocate for routine testing, compassionate care, and inclusive support systems.
 
Today, let’s come together to discuss:
🌿 Supporting people aging with HIV
🤝 Encouraging people of all ages to know their HIV status
💬 Talking openly with healthcare providers about sexual health, HIV testing, prevention, and aging
🫶 Speaking up about HIV stigma
🩺 Encourage people living with HIV to adhere to treatment and regular healthcare
 
Everyone deserves to age with dignity, connection, good health, and community support.

🌟 Introducing NFAN’s New Leadership! 🌟

We’re excited to welcome Jessica Kloke, Executive Director, and Amy Wilson, Director of Administration and Special Programs, to their new leadership roles at NFAN!

Jessica Kloke has been part of the NFAN family for more than 20 years, starting as a volunteer and advancing through roles in HOPWA, program leadership, grants, development, and operations. Her deep understanding of NFAN and its mission positions her to lead the organization into its next chapter.

Amy Wilson has been with NFAN for more than a decade, advancing from a HIPAP Support Specialist to a trusted leader across programs and operations. Her experience, compassion, and willingness to step in wherever needed have had a lasting impact on NFAN and the people we serve.

Together, Jessica and Amy bring experience, heart, and a deep commitment to NFAN’s mission as they help lead the organization forward.

Today, we remember September 11, 2001, and the lives that were forever changed.

We honor the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives, the families who keep their memory alive, and the first responders and ordinary people who displayed extraordinary courage and compassion.

May we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the importance of standing together in kindness, courage, and hope.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. ❤️
