Council For The Arts

Here’s a little back story on the mural we have on the side of our building. One of the dreams we have for this city is to make public art a bigger attraction here. There’s so much talent in this melting pot of a city, we just want to showcase that in a way that’ll last for decades just like us!

We hope you love our Bulldog mascot just as much as we do! If you ever want a fun activity to do on the weekend, do the bulldog scavenger hunt. We have a map included on the website!

Like other nonprofits, we rely on fundraising, donations and grants to support our cause. With our background being arts related, it is harder to get that funding for ourselves and the artists we support. The arts is at the base of your everyday life from the clothes you wear, the music you listen to, even the wallpaper on your cell phone. It may be something that you don’t think twice about but for many it is their entire way of life and outlet. We want nothing more than to keep supporting them in our community!

To Donate here is the direct link to the donation page on our website https://jaxartsnc.org/donations

Jean Wenner was one of the biggest advocates for the arts in our community!
