The United Way of Onslow County’s Summer Feeding Program is serving nutritious hot meals to children Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in partnership with Sandy Run Missionary Baptist Church on Hargett Street.
No registration is required—just stop by and enjoy a delicious meal in a welcoming environment. We’re committed to making sure no child goes hungry this summer!

🚨 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🚨

The CHEW Program is looking for volunteers to help with our CHEW Food Drive this Saturday at Walmart on Yopp Road!

Volunteers will greet shoppers, hand out flyers with our most-needed food items and help raise awareness about childhood hunger in our community.

We have the following shifts available:

🕤 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
🕧 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
🕞 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Whether you can help for one shift or multiple shifts, your time and support make a tremendous difference in helping us provide food to children facing food insecurity.

☀️ Our First Day of the Summer Feeding Program Was a Success! ☀️

We are excited to share that we served 130 children on the first day of our Summer Feeding Program! Seeing so many smiling faces and knowing that children left with full bellies made for a wonderful start to the summer.

We are grateful for the opportunity to provide nutritious meals to local children and help ensure they have access to healthy food while school is out. We look forward to serving even more children each day throughout the summer!

We are proud to support East Coast All Stars and help provide opportunities for young athletes to grow both on and off the competition floor. Programs like East Coast All Stars not only develop athletic skills, but also foster mentorship, leadership, teamwork, discipline, and confidence that can positively impact youth for years to come.

Strong mentors and positive role models play a critical role in helping young people reach their full potential. By investing in organizations that prioritize mentorship and personal development, we are helping build a stronger future for our community.

It was a pleasure attending the State of the Community. It is inspiring to see leaders from across our community coming together with a shared commitment to making Onslow County a place where everyone can thrive.

Strong communities are built through collaboration, partnership, and a willingness to work toward common goals. From local government and businesses to nonprofits and community organizations, it is encouraging to see so many dedicated individuals focused on creating opportunities and improving quality of life for all residents.
