The JWS 2026 Fall Juried Show will kick off on October 27th with a General Meeting and demo by acclaimed Florida artist, Janet Rogers. The meeting will be held at Cypress Village, 4600 Middleton Park Cir E, Jacksonville, FL 32224.
There will be a 2-day Workshop instructed by husband and wife duo, Janet and Steve Rogers, at the Jacksonville Gem and Mineral Society, 3733 Crown Point Rd, Jacksonville,.
The Show will be exhibited from October 27-Nov 30, at Christ Church Ponte Vedra, with the Awards Reception being held on Oct 31st, 400 San Juan Drive in Ponte Vedra Beach during their normal operating hours.

Thanks to our Jacksonville Watercolor Society members who made the trip to Bradenton for the Florida Watercolor Society Convention! It was a great chance to connect with other watercolor artists, see new work, and pick up fresh ideas and techniques. Next year the convention will be held in Palm Beach. Let's plan on it!

The Jacksonville Watercolor Society extends our heartfelt thanks to watercolor artist Kathy Starks for her inspiring presentation and behind‑the‑scenes look at her community projects, The Wilderness of North Florida’s Parks and SEE JACKSONVILLE! – 1930’s WPA NPS‑Inspired Local Park Posters.

Kathy’s stories from her artistic journey, her demonstration of key elements in her watercolor process, and her reflections on how North Florida’s parks, wildlife, and waterways shape her work gave us a deeper appreciation for both her artistry and her commitment to our region.

We are so grateful for the insight, generosity, and creativity she shared with us.

Thank you to the entire staff at Cypress Village for your wonderful hospitality.

As a reminder, the JWS 2026 Fall Show is just around the corner! On-line take in will be Oct. 16-23 . The show will be exhibited from Oct 27 - Nov 30 at the Christ Episcopal Church in Ponte Vedra. The Awards Reception will be Oct. 31.

Explore the beauty of watercolor landscapes in this single-day workshop with local watercolor artist LuAnn Dunkinson!

Through demonstrations and guided instruction, students will learn essential watercolor techniques for creating luminous skies, natural depth, and realistic flora and fauna. LuAnn will cover a variety of wash methods and compositional strategies that help bring landscapes to life while keeping paintings fresh, balanced, and expressive.
Students will also discover how to simplify complex scenes, avoid overworking details, and create strong compositions that capture the atmosphere and beauty of the landscape. By the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with a completed watercolor painting and a stronger foundation for continuing their watercolor journey.

This workshop is open to artists of all skill levels.
