While our members take a couple of well-deserved days off, we hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy the progress being made on the Jacksonville Jaguars Stadium of the Future — and take a moment to appreciate the skilled union ironworkers helping make it happen.

Through hot days, long days, and plenty of nights, our members have been putting in the work — from breathtaking heights above the stadium to areas deep inside that most people will never get to see.

There’s a tremendous amount of skill, hard work, and pride behind every piece of steel that goes into a project like this.

Enjoy the time off, brothers and sisters. You’ve earned it. Be proud of what you’re building. 🏗️⚒️

Thank you to everyone who attended our Benefits Information Meeting on July 23!

Ironworkers Local 597 was proud to host this informative session, where President Scott Roy, along with representatives from Southern Benefit Administrators (Fund Administrator for our Healthcare, Pension and Annuity Funds) and BHA Consulting (Pension Fund Actuary), shared valuable information with our members and their families.

The presentation covered how your benefits work, where to go for assistance when you need it, and how to make the most of the benefits you've earned through your hard work. We appreciate everyone who took the time to attend, ask questions, and invest in their future.

A special thank you to Ironworkers USA Credit Union for providing the great swag and helping spread the word about their financial products and services available to our members.

Our goal is to ensure every member understands and takes full advantage of the benefits available through Ironworkers Local 597. Thank you again to everyone who made this event a success!

Congratulations to our own Ethan Walsh on a job well done representing Ironworkers Local 597 at the 2026 Southeastern States District Council Outstanding Apprentice Competition!

Ethan represented our Local with professionalism, skill, and pride throughout every event. We couldn't be more proud of the way he carried himself and represented the members of Local 597.

A big congratulations also goes out to Ironworkers Local 704 for an outstanding performance and for bringing the championship trophy home to Chattanooga. Well deserved!

Great work by all of the competitors who showcased the future of our trade. We're proud of you, Ethan, and we're excited to see what the future holds for you. 💪🔩
