Rescue Partners: We welcome other rescues to connect with us, so that we all can work together in saving pets lives. Our mission is to save those pets that are sitting in a rural shelter & or on "death row" by no fault of their own. We have very high hopes of giving each pet their "Second Chance" by finding their forever home. We will also reach out to those professionals for those pets that might need a behavioral assessment, initial and intermediate training. We believe that all pets remain in a balanced and positive state of mind.

🩺✨An Update on Scout! ✨🩺

This week our amazing veterinary partner, The Veterinary Center at Hunter's Crossing, gave Scout their full attention to figure out the best treatment plan for our girl. We want to say thank you to Doctors Lexi Brandenburg and Kelly Bullett, as well as their entire crew for taking such great care of Scout. 🫶🥰

On Monday, they focused on her leg injury. Initially, we were worried that we would absolutely have to amputate her leg, but Scout has started to use it more and more. While she still does not have full mobility, we're hopeful we can rehab her leg! 💪

On Tuesday, we focused on her anemia. Part of the reason we are fighting to keep her leg is because Scout has severe anemia. Removing her leg so close to the femoral artery is not ideal, so we needed to figure out the cause of her anemia. After multiple tests, TVC did a blood smear and found that Scout also has Babesiosis, a tick-borne infection that, in essence, destroys red blood cells. As the bacteria spreads throughout the body, her immune system tries its best to fight the infection by destroying the bacteria's red blood cell hosts, thus causing anemia. 🤒

So far, Scout has responded well to treatment! She's eating and drinking and loves to snuggle with her foster family. Primarily, she is on bed rest while she recuperates her leg. 🤗😍

The cost of her treatment so far has amounted to almost $600, not including the potential $1600 leg amputation.

🐾💰Y'all just hit the jackpot: MEET CASH 💰🐾

Cash came to Poochie's through the amazing Kim Thrift Knight after he spent a considerable number of months in a rural shelter in GA and ended up on the euthanasia list. In her effort to save his life, she reached out to us to give Cash a safe spot to land, and now he's here! 😍🥰

Cash is 55 lbs of pure love and goober. He is so excited to meet new friends and loves to headbutt when getting snuggles 🤣. When he's outside, he is a little ball of energy and bounciness, but the second he's inside, he's the cuddliest little dude!! If you think he could be yours forever, apply today. 🤍🤍

Cash has been kid and cat tested and has done well with both, but due to his enthusiasm, we feel like older children would do better with him. He is genuinely so excited to meet everyone, he can just be a little too much for younger kids. 🐱🐕

🐍 Did y’all know, we have snakes available for adoption? Meet BELT, FLEA, and CINNAMON! 🐍

We have a lovely foster who takes in unwanted reptiles that people do not wish to continue caring for. All of these sweet, misunderstood creatures have their own stories and their own personalities.

These three would make excellent pets for homes with children! They all eat frozen-thawed mice and rats, are active and thrive in their bioactive enclosures. Belt and Cinnamon are both boys around 5 years old, and Flea is a girl around 10 years old!

They do have an adoption donation that can be waived wth certain housing and care requirements met. Ask about this when you reach out!

‼️ PLEASE HELP THIS DOG ‼️ WARNING GRAPHIC DEGLOVING INJURY‼️

We desperately need to fundraise for treatment for this sweet pup. She was most likely left tied somewhere and got her leg tangled in whatever she was restrained with. This leads to what’s called an entanglement injury, and now this sweet girl’s leg is partially degloved and completely non-weight-bearing.

This is a severe, life threatening injury and we need to act NOW if we are going to save her, and that means we are going to need funding.

If every person who followed our page donated 50¢ to her care, we would have more than enough to save her life. If every person who read this post tonight donated $10, we would have double what we need.

🌴Let's all give KONA a warm welcome!! 🌴

A few weeks ago, we posted our Puppy Naming Fundraiser to help fund the care of these little ones; now they're ready to start heading home! 🤗

Meet Kona! He is an 8-week-old male shih tzu mix. No, we do not know what he is mixed with and we do not know how big he will be! But he's a cute little dude with a lot of personality 😜

Kona is a confident little dude. He enjoys playing with his brother Bandit, as well as the resident dogs, Kobalt and Kopper!

He is currently up-to-date on his age-appropriate vaccines and has a clean f***l test. With his adoption, Poochie's will cover his neuter, his flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and his microchip. 🩺💉

🥞🤍Poochie's Crew, what's a better way to start the day than FLAPJACK!!🥞🤍

This little man was found wandering around a parking lot near our veterinary partner, The Veterinary Center at Hunter's Crossing, a few weeks ago and we just couldn't say no. He's been recuperating in his foster home and is now ready to find his family!

Flapjack is a very playful, affectionate white and gray medium haired kitten. He is about 9 weeks old, litterbox trained, and great with kids, cats, and dogs! 🐕🐱

He loves wrestling with all his fellow fosters, both feline and canine. He's also a major snuggle buddy and would spend the day sidled up to your side if he could. 🥰

As with all Poochie's cats, he will come with all age-appropriate vaccines, including rabies, a clean f***l test, a microchip, a negative FELV/FIV test, and his neuter surgery!

Flapjack is currently being fostered in Gainesville, FL.

🚨🚨Poochie's Crew, we need fosters!! 🚨🚨

One of our amazing rescue liaisons needs our help, but we can't pull dogs without families stepping up! These two boys have been in a shelter for months and were at risk for euthanasia before she pulled them into boarding. While they're safe for now, they cannot continue to live in a boarding facility. They need homes ASAP. ‼️

Koda is a 5-6 month old, male long-haired pit mix. He is dog friendly and super sweet! 🤍🤍

Cash is an estimated 2-3 year old, neutered male Pyrenees mix. He has done well with children and is UTD on all vaccines. He has been successfully dog tested. 😍

We are hoping that two amazing Poochie's supporters step up to help these two babies find a safe, secure place to land!!
