The Salvation Army Towers Center of Hope is proud to highlight the continued growth and success of The Discovery Hub, an innovative STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning lab created to provide children residing in transitional housing with access to cutting-edge technology, hands-on learning experiences, and opportunities that prepare them for the future.
This afternoon, The Salvation Army of Northeast Florida dedicated its state-of-the art Discovery Hub STEM Lab at The Towers Center of Hope, located at 900 West Adams Street in downtown Jacksonville.
In partnership with Northeast Florida Stem 2 Hub, the Discovery Hub will offer everything from cutting-edge 3D printing and robotics to hands-on coding and engineering projects. This STEM Lab will provide a dynamic environment where children of all ages living at The Towers can explore, create and discover new possibilities.
The Discovery Hub was established with a clear purpose: to bridge the technology gap and equip children with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in an increasingly digital and technology-driven world. Recognizing that tomorrow's workforce will demand proficiency in science, technology, engineering, and innovation, The Salvation Army invested in creating a space where learning and creativity come together.
