Greetings!

I'm celebrating love today. Did you know that the origins of Valentine’s Day as a celebration of love date back to the third century CE?

Legend has it that when Saint Valentine of Rome was in jail, he “restored sight to the blind daughter of his jailer”, an example of unconditional love.❤️

Over the centuries, Valentine’s Day has evolved into what it is now – a chance for couples, families, friends, and me, to say, “Hey there! Love you!”

(And mean it!)

In all seriousness, your generosity and support of Rebuilding Together Rogue Valley has made a difference in the lives of our community's low-income homeowners – veterans, people with disabilities and aging adults over 60.

Your kindness has provided them with safe and livable homes. What’s more, you have given our community members hope, dignity, and a renewed sense of security.

Thank you for sharing your love with people who could use a little extra this winter! Wishing you a very happy Valentine’s Day,

Kendyl Berkowitz -Executive Director
&
Kayla Hanson- Installation Coordinator

RBTRV, with funds provided by Fortune Brands Innovations and the highly skilled labor of Travis Curtis Construction, was honored to add accessibility pathways to the Lavender Garden at the OSU Extension Center in Central Point.

We are so proud that the combined effort of RBTRV staff, Travis Curtis and OSU Extension representatives has allowed for expanded access to this incredibly beautiful space in Southern Oregon

Rebuilding Together Rogue Valley (RBTRV) uses elements of the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing CAPABLE model (Community Aging in Place—Advancing Better Living for Elders) and have, over the last four years, quietly and effectively, provided our services to over 450 older adults and their families by assuring in-the-home fall-risk assessments to low income older adults and persons with disabilities who want to “age-in-place” i.e. safely remain, as long as possible, in their current homes. Our funding comes from small foundation grants, sponsorships, and donations.

Please visit our website https://rbtrv.org/contact-us/ for more information.

Please help us keep the seniors of the Rogue Valley safe. We provide free in home fall-risk assessments, home environment modification and installation of fall prevention equipment.
