Last night, our students had the opportunity to share about all that God did during Student Life Camp this summer!

It was great hearing them talk about the memories they made, the relationships they built, and—most importantly—what God taught them during their week at camp.

Cedar Bay Baptist Church Welcomes San Mateo School Staff Back

Cedar Bay Baptist Church was honored to welcome the faculty and staff of San Mateo School back for the start of a new school year by serving them a special breakfast this morning.

We are truly thankful for the opportunity to partner with San Mateo School and support the incredible teachers, administrators, and staff who invest so much in the lives of students each day. It was a joy to show our appreciation and let them know they are loved and valued by our church family.

As this new school year begins, we are praying that God will grant each staff member wisdom, strength, patience, and encouragement. We pray for His protection over the campus, for meaningful relationships with students and families, and for a year filled with learning, growth, and many blessings.

Cedar Bay Baptist Church is grateful to serve alongside San Mateo School, and we look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership throughout the year. Please join us in praying for all of our teachers, staff, students, and families as they begin another exciting school year.

Meet Dr. Jordan Chambers, our Head Pastor!

Pastor Jordan was born and raised in San Mateo, the same community Cedar Bay Baptist Church has served for generations. He was baptized at Cedar Bay when he came to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, and years later, God brought him back to serve as pastor. He is grateful for the opportunity to invest in the church and community that played such an important role in his own life.

If you’ve spent more than five minutes with Pastor Jordan, you know he loves three things: Jesus, God’s Word, and seeing people grow in their faith. His passion is helping people know the Bible, follow Jesus, and become disciple-makers who make an impact in their homes, workplaces, and community.

When he’s not preaching or teaching, you’ll probably find him in the gym, cheering on the Florida Gators, hanging out with Blair and Judah, or making a Dunkin’ iced coffee run. He believes the local church is God’s plan for reaching the world and isn’t afraid to challenge people to take their next step of obedience with Jesus.

Pastor Jordan loves Cedar Bay Baptist Church, loves this community, and considers it a high holy privilege to serve as the pastor. If you don’t have a church home, we’d love for you to come worship with us this Sunday at 10:10am!

Meet Laurie Warren, our Financial Secretary!

Laurie faithfully serves behind the scenes, helping keep Cedar Bay Baptist Church running smoothly with excellence, integrity, and a servant’s heart. From managing the financial details of our ministry to lending a helping hand wherever she’s needed, Laurie is a tremendous blessing to our church family.

She loves Jesus, loves people, and serves with quiet faithfulness every single week. Whether she’s spending time with her family, hunting for treasures at garage sales, decorating, or enjoying a day of fishing, Laurie brings joy and kindness wherever she goes.

We’re so thankful for Laurie and the countless ways she serves our church. Cedar Bay is stronger because of her faithful ministry!

Meet Billy Perry, our Young Adults Small Group Leader!

Billy is an awesome, godly man who loves Jesus, loves His church, and has a heart for serving our community. He faithfully leads our Young Adults Small Group, investing in the next generation with biblical wisdom, authenticity, and encouragement. By his side is his wonderful wife, Cherie, who faithfully serves alongside him.

Before retiring from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Billy served on the Dive Team, Bomb Squad, and SWAT Team. Simply put, he’s legit. But what stands out even more than his impressive career is his love for Christ and his desire to see others grow in their faith.

We’re incredibly thankful for Billy and the faithful leadership he provides to our Young Adults ministry and our Cedar Bay family!

Billy and Ms. Cherie would love for you to join them at 9am on Sundays for the Young Adults Small Group.
