As I close this chapter as President of the Junior League of Jacksonville, my heart is full of gratitude.

This year, our theme was BLOOM — Building Legacy and Owning Our Mission. Together, we did exactly that.

We welcomed new members, strengthened community partnerships, launched new initiatives, invested in leadership development, expanded opportunities for connection, and continued serving our community with purpose and passion. We celebrated our history while laying the groundwork for the future.

But what I will remember most isn’t the events, meetings, reports, or accomplishments.

I will remember the women.

The women who stepped up.
The women who said yes.
The women who led, served, volunteered, mentored, supported, and believed in the mission.

Serving as your President has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Thank you for your trust, your encouragement, your grace, and your commitment to making Jacksonville better through volunteer action and leadership.

As I pass the gavel, I do so with confidence that the Junior League of Jacksonville’s future is bright. Our legacy is strong because of the women who continue to show up, lead boldly, and create lasting impact.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of this extraordinary journey.

With gratitude,

Tonya Wood
