National Financial Awareness Day matters to us because money stress can touch every part of military family life. A budget question, an unexpected bill, or a big transition can feel heavy when you're carrying it alone.

That's why we are here: to offer practical, confidential support that helps Sailors, Marines, and their families feel more prepared.

This month, take one small step. Look at your budget, revisit your savings plan, or talk with someone who can help you sort through the questions.

A small step today can make tomorrow feel much more manageable.

Visit your local NMCRS office to make an appointment for free and confidential budget preparation services.

Purple Heart Day matters deeply to us because the cost of service is not abstract. It lives in real people, real families, and stories of courage that deserve to be held with care.

Today, we honor those who were wounded or made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Their bravery reminds us why our mission must always begin with compassion for the service members and families who carry the lasting weight of sacrifice.

To every Purple Heart recipient and every loved one walking beside them: we are grateful for your courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment.

When we celebrate the Coast Guard's birthday, we're celebrating a sister Sea Service that serves alongside the Navy and Marine Corps with courage, readiness, and heart.

That connection matters to us. Coast Guard members and their families understand service, sacrifice, long days, missed milestones, and the strength it takes to keep showing up for others.

To every Coast Guard member, past and present, and to the families who stand beside them: Happy Birthday and thank you for all you do.

August 1–7 is World Breastfeeding Week 🤍

This week, we celebrate the strength, dedication, and love that goes into every feeding journey, whatever that may look like for you and your baby. Breastfeeding can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also come with challenges, questions, and moments of uncertainty, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Most of our Visiting Nurses hold a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) credential or higher, bringing both clinical knowledge and compassionate, real-world support right to your home.

Your NMCRS Visiting Nurse would love to help with any breastfeeding or lactation questions or concerns you may have, whether you're just getting started, working through challenges, or looking for reassurance along the way.

You’ve got this, and we’ve got you. 💙

One donation. Countless possibilities.

A child’s book can inspire a new reader. A kitchen item can help a family settle into a new home. A gently used uniform can help a single service member save big.

This National Give Something Away Day, your donated items can continue their journey by helping Sailors, Marines and their families find affordable essentials that fuel the support they need along the way.

Because when we share what we have, we strengthen the community that serves us all.

Military life comes with enough on your plate. The last thing you need is a scammer taking advantage of a busy day or moment of distraction.

This Military Consumer Month, a few simple habits can go a long way toward protecting your personal and financial information:

🔹 Pause before clicking unexpected links
🔹 Verify messages that create a sense of urgency
🔹 Use strong passwords and multi-factor authentication
🔹 Trust your instincts when something doesn't feel right

Protecting yourself from fraud isn't about being perfect. It's about having the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions and knowing where to turn when you need support.

We're committed to helping Sailors, Marines, and their families build financial confidence, reduce stress, and strengthen their financial well-being through every stage of military life.

Because when you feel secure in your finances, you can focus on what matters most—your family, your mission, and your future.

Today is the day – introducing the new Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society logo!

Relief – The largest word because that is what we do for those we serve.
Teal – A color that represents our future—providing compassion, healing, growth and hope through everything we do.

The anchor – A trusted source of stability and tradition.

The wave – The journey of our Sailors and Marines and the compassion we wrap around them during difficult times.

Navy-Marine Corps – Our commitment to support them when they need it the most through the mission of NMCRS.

More than a new logo, it’s a reflection of our story and how, for more than 120 years, we have stood beside active duty and retired Sailors, Marines and their families helping them build financial stability and well-being through life’s uncertain times powered by compassion.

Welcome to the next chapter of Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.
