Flag Day invites us to reflect on what the Stars and Stripes represent: service, sacrifice, and the responsibility we share to care for one another.

For more than a century, NMCRS has stood beside Sailors, Marines, and their families who live those values every day. Our work is rooted in dignity, stability, and compassion, helping strengthen the people and families who serve beneath the nation’s flag.

June 6, 1944. D-Day. Allied forces landed in Normandy in a pivotal moment of World War II.

For NMCRS, days like this are a reminder of who we are here for. Behind every mission is a person, a family, and a community carrying the weight of service. For more than a century, Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society has stood with Sailors, Marines, and their families through every challenge and every new beginning, with support rooted in dignity, hope, and compassion.

Grateful for the opportunity to gather and recognize our volunteers as they reached new service milestones. A special thank you to our Ch of Volunteers, Beth, for graciously opening her home to host the celebration.

Despite the rainy weather, nothing could dampen the spirit of the day as we honored the dedication, compassion, and countless hours our volunteers give in support of Sailors, Marines, and their families. Their commitment makes a lasting difference in our mission every day.

Congratulations to all of our milestone recipients and thank you to every volunteer who shares their time and talents with NMCRS. We are truly fortunate to have such an incredible team serving alongside us! Rain or shine, our volunteers continue to show up, serve others, and inspire us all. ⚓️

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We are proud to stand beside the Navy and Marine Corps community not only in moments of need, but also in moments of remembrance.

On National Maritime Day, we recognize the Sailors and military families whose lives are deeply shaped by service at sea. ⚓ Behind every deployment, underway period, and homecoming is a family navigating long separations, constant change, and the challenges that come with military life.

At NMCRS, we are proud to support Sailors, Marines, and their loved ones through every chapter; from financial assistance during unexpected hardship to resources that help families stay strong while their service member is away. Today, we honor the strength of those who serve at sea and the families who serve alongside them.
