We were thrilled to host the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce for their Before Hours event at our Ascension St. Vincent’s St. Johns County hospital.

We’re especially grateful for the chance to share what’s ahead, including the new family birthplace coming to St. Johns County and the impact this will have on growing families in our region.

Behind Delicious Destinations is a community of people who believe that caring for Jacksonville means showing up for it 🍷🩺

This year, Dr. Stephen & Mrs. Leslie Scibelli and Dr. Aristotelis Filippidis & Dr. Eirini Tsilioni are serving as our 2026 Delicious Destinations Chairs, joined by 30 women from across Jacksonville who have stepped forward to help bring the weekend to life.

For Dr. Scibelli and Dr. Filippidis, the mission is one they live every day. As neurosurgeons at Ascension St. Vincent’s, they care for patients in some of life’s most vulnerable moments. Through Delicious Destinations, that commitment to caring for others reaches beyond the hospital and into the community they call home 🤍

On August 28–29, we’ll gather at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club around incredible food, shared purpose and a belief that has shaped Ascension St. Vincent’s for generations:

Sometimes, insurance isn't enough. When one of our patients came to us alone, recovering from a stroke with no coverage for the equipment he needed to safely go home, we refused to let that be the end of his story.

Through our Good Samaritan Fund, we were able to provide the medical equipment that made a safe discharge possible. A wheelchair. A hoyer lift. The tools to help him heal with dignity at home. 🙏

St. Johns County is growing. And we're growing with it. 💙 Nearly 2,500 babies are born in St. Johns County every year. Soon, more of those first moments will happen right here.

In June, we broke ground on a new Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) tower at Ascension St. Vincent’s St. Johns County Hospital to provide growing families with compassionate care close to home. It's the reason they will soon be able to say for the first time – "our baby was born here."

Expected to open in 2027. We cannot wait. 🌿🙏
