Please be advised that the community pool is currently closed for maintenance and is expected to remain closed until approximately 3:00 PM today while necessary chemical adjustments are made.

If the pool stabilizer levels do not return to the appropriate range by that time, the pool will remain closed for the remainder of the day and will reopen during normal operating hours tomorrow.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure a safe and enjoyable swimming environment for all residents.

Attempted Burglary Investigation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Between July 11, 2025, and July 15, 2025 the Jacksonville police department received multiple reports of an unknown black male carrying two large knives who appeared to be attempting to break into homes in the Savannah Drive area. Investigators began canvassing the area to locate additional residences he may have attempted and to locate additional video footage. Detectives began an operation to conduct focused surveillance in the area. On Friday July 18, 2025, just after midnight, while detectives were conducting this operation, they saw a subject dressed in all black walking in the area carrying a knife. The suspect has been identified as Bobby Jeremiah Montgomery, an 18 year old black male of Jacksonville. He has been charged with Attempted First Degree Burglary and Going Armed to the Terror of the People and placed into the Onslow County Jail under a $30,000 bond.

The department would like to thank all of the citizens who provided information or video footage and for the community’s patience as we worked diligently to bring these cases to resolution.

Good morning Carolina Forest Community Services Association Inc last night (early this morning) many homes received an uninvited visitor that was masked and brandishing 2 very large knives. As you will see in this video our doorbell whistle seemed to startle him and fortunately for him he decided to move on.
