Good morning Community!!! We are reaching out to you! We have a plethora of spaghetti noodles, but we haven't been getting in the sauce to use it. We, in the kitchen, and those we serve, would truly appreciate any donations of spaghetti sauce. We also would appreciate other sauces, like bbq, teryaki, soy, and others. Seasoning are also needed. Shout out to one of our volunteers, Juan, who offered to go to the store today to get us the garlic powder that we needed for today's meal! You are one of our many heroes!

Our receiving area is located in the back of Onslow Communtiy Outreach at 1210 Hargett Street in Jacksonville. Thank you so much for your continued support of this Outreach and our continuing efforts to fight food insecurity in our community. You are awesome!!!

Shoutout to CSI Carlton from the Jacksonville Police Department for donating abandoned phones and devices!

📱 Some go directly to survivors who need a safe line of communication.
💰 Others are recycled through a partner, turning into dollars that directly support our mission.

Every device helps us stand with survivors.

Today we celebrate the birth of Marsha P. Johnson and honor her legacy!

Marsha P. Johnson was a Black transgender woman and activist and was a central figure in the Stonewall Uprising of 1969, which ignited the LGBTQ rights movement. Born in 1945 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Johnson moved to New York City’s Greenwich Village at age 17, where she found community among other LGBTQ individuals. Known for her vibrant personality, distinctive flower crowns, and colorful sense of style, Johnson became a beloved figure within the LGBTQ community and an enduring symbol of resistance against injustice.

Along with Sylvia Rivera, a Latina transgender activist, Johnson co-founded the Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries (STAR) in 1970, an organization dedicated to providing housing and support for homeless LGBTQ youth. STAR became one of the first LGBTQ organizations in the U.S. to focus specifically on transgender issues. It pioneered a legacy of advocacy for transgender and gender-nonconforming people who were often overlooked by mainstream gay rights organizations.

Hi Everyone!

We’re providing an important update to our operations and our office, as move into 2024 and beyond.

Unfortunately, we have had to shut down our in person office. We appreciate all the support we’ve received over the last year plus of us having our office open in Jacksonville. We are going to be transparent, and we do not have the resources available to sustain a physical location for foreseeable future.

While we are closing our physical location, we are still here virtually. More to come on our future in the comings weeks and months.

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about One Community Pride 2024. If you would like to join our team to help us plan Pride this year, please send us a message here on Facebook. (Our office phone has been turned off.)

That’s all the updates we have for now. Thank you for the support we’ve received over the years; this isn’t goodbye, just a see you on the flip side. 🩷
