Day 1 of Petco Love Florida MEGA Adoption Event was a MEGA success at the Humane Society of Sarasota County!🤩🎉 We found homes for 70 ANIMALS, 58 cats and 12 dogs—which is a new single-day adoption record for our shelter!

This would not have been possible without our incredible Adoptions Team—pictured here, our Medical Team, our Animal Care Team, our Welcome Center Team, our Foster & Intake Team, our Volunteer Matchmakers—every single department in our organization played a role in today's amazing effort!

But the BIGGEST THANK YOU goes to all of the wonderful adopters who opened their hearts and homes to our cats and dogs!🐾💜 Stay tuned for all of the happy adoption pictures.

We also want to give a big congratulations to our friends at Hardee County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services! They joined us in our Education & Training Center and found homes for 7 of their dogs!🐶 We're so proud to help our partners gain more exposure and happy endings!

Guess what? We're not done! MEGA continues Saturday and Sunday! Help us hit our goal of 100 adoptions in 3 days and the statewide goal of 2,000 adoptions in 3 days!

The Petco Love MEGA Adoption Event is back in Jacksonville this weekend, and we are SO excited to bring hundreds of pets to Jacksonville Fairgrounds on June 28 and 29! 😻🐶 Visit from 10am - 6pm each day to meet pets from JHS and:
