This week, we had the pleasure of hosting students from READ USA at our office for an inside look at JWB, future opportunities in real estate, and the continued growth of Downtown Jacksonville.

READ USA is a nonprofit dedicated to improving literacy and empowering students with the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond. During their visit, students toured our office, explored career paths in real estate, and sat in on presentations covering entrepreneurship and the future of Downtown Jacksonville.

We’re proud to support organizations like READ USA that are helping shape the next generation of leaders right here in our community.

We had an incredible time teaming up with the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation this month! ✨

From helping chaperone field trips to the St. Augustine Aquarium and Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum, to rolling up our sleeves to help the kids prep for their big Juneteenth celebration, our JWB team loved every moment.

Building a stronger community starts with empowering and uplifting our youth. Thank you to the MaliVai Washington team for everything they do to support our Jacksonville youth and for letting us be a part of these unforgettable summer memories!

🎉 Congratulations to our third Welcome Home Fund Homeowner, Latesha! 🔑

The JWB Cares' Welcome Home Fund is an annual grant that provides $20,000 in down payment assistance to eight deserving JWB residents. Latesha, a 2025 grant recipient, recently shared her inspiring journey to homeownership with us:

"I am a full-time mom, a UF employee, and a full-time college student currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in human services. I was awarded $20,000 from JWB for the down payment on my first home, which helped make homeownership possible for me.

In addition to the $20,000 Welcome Home award, I was also part of the HomeStep program, an initiative through JWB that provides $100 per month toward closing costs when rent is paid on time. Because of this program, I was able to walk away from closing with no out-of-pocket closing costs. This allowed me to use the money I saved to repair my new home and purchase furniture."
